I was kinda worried that we lost that game to the spurs without them having Parker. Then I thought bout it and Amare doesnt usually miss 3 critical free throws down the stretch and Nash hardly ever gets two tournovers in the last couple of minutes in the game.
But we are still 4-8 against the west top teams and we need to start playing better.
I was kinda worried.....

amares 2 early fouls also had a major influence on the game
that offensive one was BS and the first one, sheesh, bowen does the same thing all game and doesnt get called
on the charge one - if you hit someone from argentina and they dont fall down, then you know its not a charge, especially when if you breathe on them they fall over
just out of interest, spurs are 10-13 against teams currently over 500 in the league and and 6-8 againt current western playoff opponents

we showed some good defense and rebounding isnt that bad after all..i believe those kind of losses will just make this team better..its better to see where we have problems right now than to find it later..
lets have a look on the hornets rematch.. we are 0-2 against them. lets see how our guys take the challenge.
what made me positive about that game is that, diaw showed up defensively. i was frustrated though to bell and barbosa..

there was a thousand huge "ifs" in that game the other night, but you know what? there are always IFS when we play the frickin Spurs. IF JJ hadnt broken his face, IF steve hadnt broken his face on the little queer french guy, IF amare and boris hadn't been suspended.
I'm sick of it, the Suns are the better team and need to go beat the old fart Spurs and stop finding reasons and excuses to fail. Done, I'm done and the team better be done. Either they step up now and become a champion or they are the 2002 Kings. It could go either way...

Kind of the way I feel to be honest. Justified or not, I'm just sick of "what ifs" and excuses ...
The way I feel this year reminds me a lot of how I felt when Australia made it to the World Cup. I had been following this religiously since 1993 (the qual year prior to the world cup). I remember convincing my PE teacher we should watch the game for PE. We won the first leg, I got up for the 2nd leg and we lost.
1997 - Another heart break. This time the Iran game. I was there for the 2nd leg played in Melb. My heart racing when we were 2-0 up (0-0 in the first leg) then in a blink of an eye we cop 2 goals. I felt like it was a bad dream and I was gutted.
2001 - We face Uruguay. We win the first leg in Melb 1-0. 2nd leg I remember it very well since I spent the night at my now fiancees place for the first time. Got up early at her place to watch the soccer (she thought I was nuts) ... I had told some mates I would meet them but wasn't expecting to get lucky. We cop a pasting ... it was a bitter sweet day for me that's for sure.
2005 - We *finally* made it. I went to Sydney. It went to penalty shoot-out and I honestly thought i would collapse from the excitement/nerves.
Following the Suns has been like that ... there have been so many 1993/1997/2001 moment following this team. Every season since we got Nash back has been like those daggers to the heart I felt when Australia didn't qualify. I have to believe that our 2005 is coming soon ... surely it must!

I have had a few of those dagger moments. I thought the Patriots were going to put one in me on that last drive.
I have plenty of them especially having the Sports teams I like.
Chicago Cubs--> Baseball ( Quite possibly the most pathetic team in sports history.)
Dallas Cowboys--> Football ( Have had some success in the 70's and 90's) The 80's was rough. And the last 10 have been bad.
Oklahoma Sooners--> College ( Mostly Football getting to the big game a few times and getting beat. This year is a perfect example.)
Phoenix Suns-->For all the years that KJ7 listed plus already not having a championship.
NO MORE IFS!
The Suns WILL get it done this year! Bar None! Yes, I have optimism. But it sure in the Hell beats pessimism. Yes, I am also a realist in that the chances for our team are slim. But we also have as good a shot as any other team in the league.

+1 man great analysis. I'd be stoked if we won the chip this year obviously. At the same time if we didn't I'd be ready for a fresh start and hope that Kerr and company would have the gonads to make some tough decisions and changes if necessary. The Suns still have many great players on their team to build around and package for other great players if necessary. We only have 2 bad contracts - Diaw and Banks (Marion is probably expiring after this year, which is GOOD trade bait. (See Kwame 9 million per year Brown)
Such changes might include replacing Dantoni (MaFalaa where are ya?), trading Marion, or even the beloved Barbosa. Sometimes tough choices need to be made. Heck, my favorite trade brought up so far had us landing Iggi and Dalembert for Diaw and Barbosa, Atl pick, and a filler from us. Maybe this offseason??? Just dreamin..
I still love our team this year and would feel so much better if we had one more competent big guy to throw out there and have almost anyone but Barbosa handle the point when Nash rests. Those are our 2 achilles heels which can both be addressed in the future without giving up the kitchen sink.
Getter DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Win the chip

Life story short. I lived one mile from the Texas border for most of my youth. Everyone in my school minus me was a Oklahoma State Cowboys Fan.
I grew up in a household where my Father and Brother were very much San Fransisco 49ers fans. I was to young to know about the 9ers so I grew up a Cowboys fan.
Because I had free to air T.V. I only got a few channels. One of the baseball games back in the day. Ryan Sanderberg (Ryno) would donate $100 to a charity ( I don't remember which). And it made me start liking the Cubs. I have been a fan since even during the crappy times.
Now the Suns! I moved to AZ in '92. I was a Bulls fan then. I moved to Chicago and lived there for a few years. During that time the Bulls won there 3 championships. I grew very tired of the shaningans of Bulls fans. Buying $100+ Air Jordan's when they are $50 short on rent. It happened a few times with some people I knew. They bummed money. I don't think so! I moved back to AZ. I didn't have a team for awhile and I have been a fan of Steve Nash since he came here. The Suns are probably my most watched team. I am like a addict I keep coming back for more.
Go Suns win it all! I say Put Up or Shut Up!
