Hold on to your butts. Apparently ESPN will report that Shaq is on his way to Phx for a physical per Rick Bucher?!?!?! Glue yourself to ESPN.

HOLY CRAPOLA!!!!! Please tell me this is not true!!!!! I guess the rumors are about to pan out. ESPN has updated the web page.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3232862

"It looks like it's going to happen," said one source close to the situation. "We should know for sure by tomorrow."

Another sign that the deal is imminent: ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher reported Tuesday night on SportsCenter that O'Neal is scheduled to travel to Phoenix on Wednesday, presumably to take a physical.

UPDATE:

On TV Ric Bucher has said that both Miam and Phoenix are willing to make the deal. According to sources close to Shawn, he wants the deal to be made. Shaq is on his way to Phoenix Wednesday for his physical.

The Trade would be Shaq for Marion and Banks. The Suns also have indicated that will not change their system for Shaq.

I know how to read. Do you? I wasn't referring to your "conjecture". I am referring to a report that ESPN is about to release. Everything was around Shaq possibly coming. This is about a report regarding he is on his way. New info.

Thanks though.

Same here. I'm still trying to imagine why the suns would even consider Shaq. In the best-case scenario, Dantoni finds a role for him in the run-and-gun system and in the worst case scenario, shaq can't find his role on the suns. I know that O'Neal has a great history as a player both on and off the court but I honestly think that the Suns' management (AKA Kerr) could've gotten an offer that suited your team better than this one.

I'm happy. We need another big inside presence so Amare can stay away from foul trouble.(Or have a better chance) Shaq can defend Duncan instead of Amare having to do it. Plus, its still 7 feet and 2 inches of pure human. This will help us, especially in the playoffs where eventually we will have to bump and grind.

He should look ok in the purple one, but the orange one.................damn thats going to be funny as hell.

But no seriously I hope it happens for you guys. Having Shaq back on the west coast will be fun. I know he likes warm climates so I can see this happening soon. I know people will question all the basketball stuff but it shouldn't matter, he'll be on a better team and at this stage you don't need him to do a lot every night.

I'm sure from what I've been reading he'll welcome this deal.

Crazy.

No internet at home, changing subscribers but DAMMMMM.

I'm totally torn...I can envision him starting and playing a defensive ROCK in the middle, and essentially leaning in on the other big guy and rebounding, which is all we need. I see us going half court when Nash is out, and think he'll go well with Barbosa and Bell spotting up in the corners. This was clearly a knee jerk reaction to counter the MASSIVE frontline of LAL, because now Amare can guard Gasol and not get trounced by Bynum...

I still would like to see Wright come to Phoenix as well...And hope to HELL the ATL pick isn't going to MIA in the deal...

Shaq and Amare...WOW

"It is clear that a trade for O'Neal would be a negative indictment on the Suns current style and would suggest that management does not believe the current run-and-gun style can win a title."

Anyone remember the show time lakers in the days of the Magic and the Big Fella? They were a running fast break team with grandpa Kareem always taking his time to get up the court.

He is so done it's not even funny. He's being traded because of that reason. I have no idea what Kerr is thinking. I wanted it before, but now I PRAY we see you in the playoffs.
