Het fellas, I'm looking for a free GIF program capable of producing large gifs. I used to have one but cant remember what it was called. Any suggestions?

You want Easy GIF Animator.

Make sure you know how to prepare the hundreds of images, else a lot of people will be pissed if they have to d/l mega bytes of animation. I make mine 10 seconds or less and under 600K.

I don't know how large is large but i use "Super" to convert any move file to animated gif. But the size in pixels is only abou 150x150

Oh gosh, use a splitter as you don't need every fricken frame from a flash or movie file. That is what makes them so large.

All one needs to do is extract all the frames from a file, select starting frame and end frame in the sequence they wish to use and then add every other third or fourth frame to the gif. I've reduced a 2MB file down to 160KB this way with no noticable difference to the eye.

Also, batch resize the frames to 80x80 before converting to a gif.
