Scenario: About the Championship.

Ok, if we don't get over the hump and fail in our quest to garner the NBA Finals Championship in the next 3 years.. actually realistically.. in the next 2 years. Who do we blame? What would be our downfall.

Sarver...? D'Antoni? Kerr? Colangelos? Steve Nash.........?

I'm just interested on who our scapegoat would be, and seeing as how it'll be extremely hard to win the championship espicially this year with the way our team is playing and how dominant other teams are playing.

IMO I would blame the whole front office, they blew it about a million times and they owe the fans and the players a championship.

*this obv is displaying my pessimstic outlook on the outcome of our championship journey.

I think the Diaw and Banks contract really hurt us. Left us with no flexibility to acquire say Artest.

Also, I think too much emphasis on Nash has hurt us because teams know if they take Nash out they take out our offense.

lol you're right but this was the first time since Nash came in where I've been worried about the Suns game.

Funny, I have never thought of this. Too early to tell. But I am confedent that they will get it together and win at least one.

I wishe we could have kept JJ tho.

Blame will fall 100% on Nash for not being able to get it done. He can't say that he hasn't had a good enough team when he was in Phoenix to make that push for a ring. He's been surrounded by great players and if he's as good as everyone makes him out to be, then he should somehow find a way to get a championship.

Do you really want to try and wrap your mind around this kind of thing or would you rather show some patience and watch to see how things unfold?

haha, its just that I've been keeping my frustration in for so long and it's starting to show. Okay how about we change the subject for a bit.. how do we start rebuilding in the next 3 years?

We will be keeping Amare, Diaw and Barbosa and ATL 1st Rounder.

This is a summer time topic if I have ever seen one.

assuming we come up short....the scapegoat will be D'Ant...and his job will be the price. Meanwhile, the owner(s) will still have a tainted resume of ineffective deals and signings. Nash's accomplishments will have the same taint as Marino, Tarkenton, and Bark-alot-ly to some degree. Shaq will be the Big Retired Mediocre.

Amare, Barbo, and Le Eunuch will be left to build around.

It is bothersome that hind site has revealed missed opportunities....guys like Milshap, Maxiel would have been tremendous help...rondo, deng, Iggy...DirtyKurt deal....JJ...draft picks for cash....Pike, Grant, Marks etc.... :banghead:

the woulda, shoulda, coulda list seems to continue to grow and is haunting to say the least. Only a ring will soothe the pain.
