Nothing. I can't imagine I'm going to hear anything until the official announcement since no one is in the office anymore (road trip). Maybe tomorrow...but if the decision comes down tonight, you guys will know when I know.

Thanks for the update.

Looks like both PHX and SA are offering him a 2 year deal for the vet min. Is he waiting to see if someone blinks and offers him more? Much drama. I really feel that he is worth it however because he is EXACTLY what we need.

Wouldn't it be great if we were paying Doris a reasonable $4.5 million a year?

The Republic 7 hours ago ran a story that Barry told Kerr he decided against the SUNS. It is now deleted, but the comments remain. It was written by Coro.

No...that article wasn't "AGAINST" the Suns. It was a placeholder. It left out the team he had chosen. In fact, the headline was something along the lines of Barry Chooses/Spurs Suns. Then it said, he picked _ instead of competing offers from the Suns/Mavs/Rockets/etc.

We laughed about it on Page 3 of this thread.

Sounds like SA may be offering a 3rd year. It's still at the vet min though. Come on Sarver, sweeten the pot!

I don't think Barry is leaving San Antonio. I have a client that lives there and he said Brent Barry is the most marketed guy on that team. He's in tons of commecials, on billboards, etc. I don't see him leaving what he's got going on there.

That doesnt mean squat, SoCal.. Marion was one of the most liked players by Suns fans.. Do you really need to be reminded of all the damn room store commercials?

Marketability should not play a significant factor in where he plays.. It's Brent Barry.. Not Yi! Spurs had been trying to trade him for the past couple years.. If he has any type of balls, he'd be a little disrespected by that and let it effect his decision on where to go.

I've got nothing right now. It's just a waiting game now...he has to decide eventually. It's the Suns and Spurs...that's all I know. As soon as anything else happens, I'll let ya know...but for now, it's all on Barry.

Barry can help us. We agree on that.

But what I think is more important is us keeping him from helping San An... in any capacity. This is a chess match right now. Suns FO v. Spurs FO. They got Kurt, I want Barry.

Get it done.

I'm starting to think that there's no way in hell he wants to play for this team after he witnessed us get blown out 2 out of 3 games.

You could spin that the other way also. It's looking like the Suns NEED him where SA just wants him. I think he would play a significant role here. I wouldn't be surprised if he took some of LB and Boris's minutes.

I wish he would stop screwing with us and just let us know that he's going back to SA.
