I don't know the financial situation, but I doubt the Suns will be able to offer him the most money. And Lebron is going to whoever gives him the most money.

LeBron will NEVER come here. It's not about the max contract because he will get the max regardless, it's that Phoenix is too small of a market to have him.

That is just plain wrong.

If he leaves Cleveland, it will either be to Chicago, LA or New York. No one else is even in the running.

Stern will make sure one of them has enough cap room. Plus, as of right now, the Knicks only have $48 million on the books after the 09/10 season. And, if they are able to move any of Randolf, Curry or Crawford (all have options for 10/11) before the end of the that season, they would have plenty of room to sign lebron.

The Bulls only have around $25 million on the books for that season (and some are team options). The Lakers won't have a shot because of Bynum, but the Bulls or Knicks could easily make a run at him by just moving one final-year contract (Knicks) or no contracts at all (Bulls).

No one thought we would have the cap space to sign both Nash and Q the same year in '04. A lot can happen in 2 years.

Knicks and Bulls are forced to sign more than a few players before Lebron's option year. LeBron is not going to be interested in being surrounded with scrubs.

Shaq's and Nash's comes off the books on the same year that Lebron, Wade and Chris Paul becomse eligable to be sign by another team. I actually blog about this last week that Amare and Chris Paul have become very close friends and the Suns made this move with Oneal becouse they knew that on the 10-11 year the Suns would have cap room and Amare would be entering his prime.

The Suns are going to have close to 40 mil in cap space, this is anticipating that the cap is going to get larger as the yrs go by. Also there is speculation that the Suns would be able to trade Boris then becouse he would only have 2 yrs left on his contract and would be able get somebody like a Udonis Haslem type of player.

There's a couple of players like Dwayne Wade and Lebron James James who have Players option on their contracts. There is also players like Joe Johnson Aleksandor Pavlovic, Chris Paul, Travis Outlaw, Carls Boozer and Deron Williams who are going to be free agents.

If the Suns can snag up Chris Paul ( 12-14 mil-very good friend of Amare) and Travis Otlaw( 7-9 mil-Marion type of player) and add a very good shooter like Aleksandor Pavlovic(7-8 mil) with Barbosa, Amare and Diaw on the lineup?? Of course I'm speculation but it's also a possibilty that this may end up happening. unless we but all our eggs in one basket and go for Lebron James and offer him about 16-18 mil a year and sell him that Amare and Lebron would be unstopable. The all you had to add are players who can defend and shoot and it would be a begging of a dynasty.. I guess Ican stop day dreaming.

I'd rather have Chris Paul and continue our superstar PG reputation than the media frenzy and hype that comes with getting LeBron James.

I agree that Lebron won't come here because of the size of the market, but I disagree that whoever offers him the most money will win him over. Lebron makes way too much money in endorsements to care about a few million a year lost from his NBA salary. He also cares a lot about having a good gm, and the pieces surrounding him. If there's a team that can surround him solid roleplayers and shooters, he'll consider it.

I agree that the NBA salary is not important, but for a different reason. If he goes to a place like NY, his endorsement money will increase (I've heard there's a deal already on the table for that) so he could actually take a smaller NBA salary from NY but make more in the long run.

The man said his goal was to be like a billionaire, right? That means nowhere but NY, Chicago, or LA.

Good, let him go there then. If his life is solely motivated by money then screw him.

Yeah...I remember when he was asked what words he'd like people to use to describe him a few years from now, he said, "global icon." WHAT? What a selfish, Nike-brainwashed brat. How about "NBA Champion"? How about "the best player"? Learning Chinese in the off-season? How about practicing your FTs instead? Shows you where his priorities are. His talent is undeniable, I'm just not a fan of him. I don't think he works on his game all that much and seems much more interested in the marketing of LeBron James rather than the improvement of the basketball player.

I also would rather gather Chris Paul. CP3 is a man that is for sure. I think he is MVP this year.
