Raja Bell in the last 5 games...

Is -84 in points compared to who he has guarded. That's an average of -17 points a game. In those 5 games, DJ has seen a combined 17 minutes.
Just wanted to make that observation...

Looks like Raja stopped sipping the crunk juice and has finally lost it.
If DJ ever learns how to shoot, dude has to start over Raja.

observation noted......
bell is a great player, but is struggling, we could make it easier on him by giving him some rest
DJ deserves time
hopefully giricek can take some minutes from him and rest him up

I prefer a combo of DJ/Johnson over Bell.

All Raja needs of some frickin' rest. DJ has proven in the minutes he's gotten that he can be effective. D'Antoni is so frustrating sometimes.

^Agreed. He looks REALLY tired and haggard out there. That's why so many of his fouls are horrendous reach/grab type fouls, where he instinctively grabs the guy who's beaten him and doesn't even try and get in front to draw the charge or go for the ball. The Philly game showed that and then tonight Roy flat out abused him

one thing that cant be doubted, rajas talent, heart and passion
if the performance isnt there, then something is wrong - i wont doubt he is giving 100% out there

do u agree guys that bell would be the key for us. when his 3's falling down, he will give so much space to shaq and amare inside..

^ pretty much, we need the whole team to be on, but bell MUST be a three point threat to open it up for the big guys and to punish other teams for doubling etc
and we know he can do that, hes just off right now

I know one thing: If we face the lakers in the playoff's D'Antoni better not play Bell or Kobe will take over.

^ so youre proposing we bench bell vs the lakers?

I'm convinced now Mike D'Antoni is an idiot and needs to be fired.
The Suns were up by 20 points, and he didn't rest Bell, Grant, or Nash.
DJ, Skinner, GG, all should have gone in to relive the starters and give them some quality rest.
Instead stupid D'Antoni burns the guys out and we end up almost losing the game.
FIRE D'ANTONI!!!!!!

If DJ would get some playing time to fine tune his offense and defense, he would be a good part time D guy on Kobe.
Wearing Bell out right now and not playing DJ is going to be the end of Bell and this team.
FIRE D'Antoni!!!

Raja has temporarily lost his mojo for one reason and ONE reason only.
He now has the assigment of guarding the teams BEST player. Whenever he's on the court now, he's got Kobe, Roy, Gay, Iggy, etc. etc. etc.
Remember when we had Marion? They'd move around and lots of times, Marion took the best player all game. Raja is tired.
I'd be worried about it except for one thing. Girceck can play defense. He's big and quick. He might not be a "stopper" but he's got experience and he's good enough to give Raja some rest from guarding the studs. GG played in Utah where you only play if you play defense and he's pretty hard nosed.
Mark my words - once GG gets some run, Raja's mojo will be back in full force. It's hard to get your legs under you on your jumper when you're getting run ragged all game long by the other teams' best player.

Remeber that one time where we were getting raped by Golden State.. and then Coach D played the bench in the fourth quarter and they almost tied the game. Well after that impressive performance he shut down that line up and it was never seen again.
*game was at the end of last season.
Sometimes I wonder what that guy is thinking sometimes.

Man all we need from GG is 10-12mins, then Hill/Barbs can cover the rest of the 6-10mins so Bell can play 30mins, no more.

damn, more bell hate? sheesh
i guess you people give up every time 1 thing goes wrong?

It's a good thing to rest a player if his form fit isn't well But whether Bell playing good or bad, he gets 35 minutes every night.
That's why D'antonio should give PT to other guys. Getting GG and LJ is fair moves, but meaningless if D'antoni will use 7 guys rotation.
