What about Ruben?

Post#1 » by Togo » Sat Mar 8, 2008 6:43 pm

I know the dude has baggage, but we need some defensive help in a bad way. We also need to get Grant's minutes down to AT LEAST 30. Any thoughts?

I think hes close to what this team needs, a hustle, defensive minded player...plus his fg% is always high, he only dunks and layups, but his perimeter defense is outstanding....... hes a thug and all, but his defensive attitude can be contagious....thats what this team needs... BUT im sure it wont happen...

I don't know. The suns were interested in Artest....and Kerr needs to save face with the Shaq trade. And if Hill, and Bell continue to play 35+ minutes a game, they will be spent come playoff time.

Too late to get him now...IMO they really dropped the ball not getting Patterson. He's seen everything, played in the West playoffs and at the very least gives us a budget version of Artest who we can cut for the min if it doesn't work out.

Goes to show that there's SOMETHING wrong with him though if ALL the West playoff teams didn't bother to pick him up...

Pop Rocks and Cola.... "See you in Hell candy convention!"

And Kent Brockman describing the shower curtain as some sort of sexual enhancement device thing, hilarious! LOL!

Nothing better than the protesters shaking Homer's car while he's sitting in it...and him in person while he's at work - gotta love that annoyed look

...uhm, back on topic?! :D

I'm not too crazy about signing that rapist, either - we got some useful defenders on the bench, including Johnson, who even plays the same position as Ruben. It's coach D's fault he doesn't use him.

naa Ive seen him play too many times to know he can score, hes a brute on O and D --- which is wierd, because alot of teams can use his intangibles.

He cant stop Kobe --- but at least he tries really really REALLY hard to try and stop him.

Good guy we could have picked up. A proven player.

But I wish we can get rid of Barbs and Diaw and somehow get Artest in the offseason? Maybe use our MLE to sign a productive player to come off the bench for us next year?

The answer to that question is "YES" he'd be playoff eligible because he was not on an NBA roster before March 1st, nor has he been on a team since. So he meets all the requirements for playoff eligibility.
