When: Tuesday, March 11th, 2008
Where: US Airways Center - Phoenix, Arizona
When exactly: 10pm, Eastern Time (3am CET)
TV: Just bought a new one at around the price of 3 Gasols - KA-CHING!

Image
OUR GUYS DECIDED THAT IT'S JUST ABOUT TIME TO GET SOME NEW STUFF, AND SINCE THE GRIZZLIES ARE COMING TO TOWN THERE ARE BARGAIN SALES ALL OVER TOWN. LET'S SEE WHAT OUR STARTING 5 GOT:

C:
Image
Look at the Diesel: his new suit fits him just great, and he had to pay just 5 Gasols for it - awesome deal there, big fella!

PF:
Image
Hah, Amare, have you been shopping with Shaq? Looking good man, how much?...Just 2 Gasols, can't believe that! What about all the bling?

SF:
Image
Hey Grant - still reading that old book? Get yourself a new one...oh, you bought it again? 30 pieces, WTF?! Oh, sure, just 1/4 Gasol, that's pretty cool

SG:
Image
Raja got himself a new camera...and some chick to take sexy pictures of him - see, I told you he's a pervert :nonono:

PG:
Image
Steve didn't even want to spend any Gasols, but after seeing that special price for a nose job he just couldn't resist

The Bench:
Image
Boris asked the sales clerk to demonstrate all the balls they got in store - wonder whether he'll find a good pair that actually fits him...what? Nah, sorry Barbs, i doubt they're also selling passing skills. Got to realize there's stuff that even Gasols can't buy

Gasol may be gone, but the Grizzlies till got a whole bunch of gre...of players:

C:
Image
Watch out, referees: Darko's in town, and he doesn't shrink away from assaulting your wives, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, dogs, the dogs' puppies, the dogs' parents...

PF:
Image
Less crotch, Hakim, LESS CROTCH!!!

SF:
Image
*cough*I ain't gonna type it*cough*Would be way too easy*Ah, who cares: you look like a jolly gay, Rudy...oh, damnit, I screwed it up!

SG:
Image
Wuhu, David Beckham shows 'em off, finally!

PG:
Image
Sometimes you just got to realize that any kind of comment would ruin the magic of a Mike Conley picture

Just look at the bench burning:
Image
Did you know that "bench" means "Bank" in German? Just thought I'd mention it...

For all the (2 or 3) guys among you that actually are into good music, here's the inofficial theme song for this game that also refers to the 2nd bench-joke:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOYsPoViMUs

This GOOO GRIZZLIES!!! line got sponsored by Chris Wallace, and I'm all about the Gasols :eyebrows:

Oh that is harsh. :x

And just to clear things up I have never stated that I am not a Grant Hill fan first and foremost. I have not recently jumped on his bandwagon, I have ridden him all the way.

I also never have said that we suck and yada yada yada. I only post the sky comments to encourage the haters.

We better not underestimate the Grizzlies like we did last time. We need to make sure we keep Gay from destroying us. Also, STAT better not leave Warrick open. We need an easy win so we can rest Raja and Nash for the game against GS.

I'd much rather give DJ/Skinner 10 each than ever play Giri again.

I predict Giri finds his stroke against Memphis and knocks down 4/6 threes and then youll say hes not that bad. He plays really fundamental D too.

Haha, I've always harbored an irrational hate for Giri, I'm not sure why.

This could easily be a trap game if we aren't careful

Hope we play with intensity and limit Rudy this time

Bench means "Bank" in Dutch (I'm from Holland, lol)

In German Bench is "Sitzplatz".

Anyway, lets grab another W.

Lol, yeah I know, I'm sorry. I looked it up at www.mijnwoordenboek.nl, so I guess it was my mistake.

Anyway, lets get back ontopic. I think we should own Memphis, no doubt.

No worries, I was just kidding anyway ;)

And I absolutely agree: we finally managed to play well during an entire game, especially on the defensive end, and now we just have to keep it up. Memphis is a team we HAVE to beat, and finally winning two in a row again should also definitely add to the team chemistry and to our confidence.

ARE WE UP FOR A RUN, OR WHAT?! START A SERIES AND GIVE THE WESTERN TOP TEAMS A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY!

GOOOOOOO SUNS!!!
