Appreciation for Skinner

I just wanted to recognize what Skinner has done for us this season. And unfortunately we won't see him for the remainder of the season and NEVER in the Playoffs (not unless two of our starters are injured).
The guy came on this team and did exactly what we needed from him in the limited minutes. I really hope we hold onto this guy. If any other team in the League saw what he did during his playing time I am sure they will be over him in the offseason.
I don't know why we couldn't sub him for Shaq today against Spurs when Amare stayed on floor. It would have kept Amare guarding Oberto/Thomas instead of having to guard Duncan. Wait, that's right, Mike D doesn't play bench.
Oh Well.

Id thank Skinner if that was the real intention of this thread... If D'antoni played Skinner today due to the foul problems you don't know what would have happened. D'antoni left our towers on the floor and it paid off... We won... So stop freaking crying...

I'd change it to be why Skinner didn't play in the final 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter instead of Diaw. At the time, we had Nash, barbs, Bell, Hill and Diaw. IF we would have had a defensive presence capable of making up for the guards getting layups, we might not have blown our 7-8 point lead.

Skinner has been huge for the team. As far as the team is concerned, the backcourt guys like bell, LB, Nash needs to help rebound the ball. Right now LB is getting on my nerves more than Boris although Boris turning the ball over 4 times doesnt really help.
I like the way Dantoni kept Amare and Shaq on the floor even with 5 fouls. The suns (Kerr, Sarver, Dantoni) put evrything on the table with the shaq trade and at somepoint they have to commit to who they have and the circumstances around it.

There is just no time for Skinner. Boris is almost as good defensively and is a much more well rounded offensive player. He has actually been playing well since the trade for the most part.
If they had paid him the midlevel instead of $9 friggin million a year he would be just fine. It's just going to be difficult for him to live up to that contract.

I was wondering why I havent seen skinner play since this trade, I know they couldve used him at the end of the 3rd when I noticed the suns playing really small ball. Any news on why he's not getting pt now?

Skinner was great in what little and inconsistent time he was given this season. I'd love for him to play the 20 minutes a game where Shaq is on the bench, but unfortunately D'Antoni has bought into some "two different teams" crap.

im glad skinner doesnt play, i cant stand him, he had 1 good game, when he was rebounding and playing defense like crazy, than he started getting some time and all he was doing was shooting the ball close to the three point line EVERYTIME he touched the ball, and missed everything, oh well, i'd much rather have diaw in there, besides that goatee is mad ugly and dirty lookin.
