He is one of the most efficient players out there, but he still isnt geting any credit for it, he is always around 18. place in the nba.coms race to MVP, now he is 13. because of his good play in these last couple of days.
He made comments about that to:

What's missing is a consistent effort on the other side of the floor. Aldridge had his way with him last night.

For what it's worth I think I've overused 'for what it's worth'.

Dwight is geting more recogniton, well i know he is leader od their team but i still think STAT deserves it far more than Howard. I'am not saying he should get the MVP, I'am just wondering why he isnt even mentioned, if Pierce can be there and we all know that KG is Celts MVP so can be Amare.

It depends on how you personally determine MOST VALUABLE PLAYER...the term itself.

Dwight is more vaulable to ORL than Amare is to PHX by FAR. You take Nash out of the picture and we're literally done.

Take Howard out for ORL and they have ZERO post scoring, ZERO offensive rebounding, ZERO intimidation and ZERO 'wow' factor.

Take Amare out of the Suns and we can still go with Shaq/Diaw/Hill/Bell/Nash - which ain't bad compared to whatever ORL would throw out at PF/C to cover Dwight.

Same goes for Duncan in SA

Not even the Phoenix crowd agrees he's the MVP. They chant MVP when Nash is at the line, not Amare. I think this should be his 1st step.

Seriously, I think the 05-06 season made it clear who makes this team go. If we were a lottery team that year and Nash shot 41% from the field and 29% from 3, then you could make an argument for Amare. Nash's shadow is large. People still remember how we almost beat the Mavs in the WCF WITHOUT Amare. He certainly gives us that home run potential and definitely puts us over the top, but you can't say he's more vital to this team that Kobe, Chris Paul, LeBron or Dwight are to their respective teams. I think he's still playing off of Nash.

Maybe in 3-4 years when its LB, Amare and Boris and we're winning 55-60 games and are favorites to win a title because Amare is averaging 25-12-4-2 or something close to it, then he'll garner consideration. Right now, this is still Nash's team.

I said this before about Shawn and I'll say it about Amare:

I agree with this to a point. He has been amazing and should be recognition for how good he is. Should he win it, no, not now at least. But should be higher IMO. But I think the media gets enamored with players and it goes to more of a popularity contest. CP3 is great, but I think it is a little too early for him. Same with Lebron. Kobe should win it this year by far I think. His time has come, but the media needs to lay off the cp3 stuff for now. Lebron is one of the best, but I think he will be a multiple mvp winner in the next few years.

I just hope Amare can raise his game even higher when nash is on the decline to keep this team going. That means he has to do more all around stuff. His time will come tho.

I think it is a joke the hornets organization is launching the CPCMVP site.

Nash won 2 MVPs, so its pretty obvious why Amare will struggle to receive MVP consideration.

wth, chris paul is playing out of his mind right now. he's having a steve nash year and then some.

I think next year Amare will be top 5 mvp canidate next year.

Lebron's numbers are absolutely ridiculous and he's carrying that team on his back. That being said, his team is struggling in a weak conference.

Kobe gets my vote. He's done it at both ends of the floor this year and has done a much better job at getting his teammates involved.

Chris Paul certainly makes the decision tough though.

And your point is albasuna? I really don't care. its too early to give him the trophy I think. I agree he is playing great ball, but I in no way would give him the trophy right now.

Paul is having a much better year than Kobe individually because quite amazingly he's a more polished player despite his inexperience. I don't think its even close in reality, its like they way LeBron has no chance of winning MVP due to his team's poor record yet he keeps getting hype. Its more to create headlines than anything else. Paul is such a strong favorite that even if NO don't finish above LA he would still probably get MVP.

I think you have it the other way around...Kobe is the favorite to win it..go look up all the rankings and stuff on Nba and ESPN...most people have kobe at the top..

I agree with both of you. IMO Chris Paul is the MVP this year. He has been averaging so many assists he has almost surpassed Nash in that category while still averaging 21.6 PPG. That is only the stats portion of what he brings to the Hornets. The Hornets weren't in the talks at the beginning of the season for the best record in the West.

Right now they are on a dead lock with LA for the best record. Yes, Kobe has been good and any given other year then yes. But he hasn't been dominating and creating for his team in the 4th like CP3 has done. LBJ has had statistically better year. But in a way he pads his stats by the sub performance team he plays on.

Yeah plus LeBron's teammates look like they aren't even part of the game. And a guy like WallyZ is having the worst sequence of his career in CLE. Looks like the LeBron show everynight. They should run a bunch of plays to let Gibson open shots.

Yeah but those rankings have nothing to do with reality. LeBron has even been number one and we know a team as bad as CLE will never have the MVP player.
