Suns free throw shooting!!!

Post#1 » by Suns_Fever » Sun Mar 23, 2008 12:24 pm

Hey, I was just wondering where does the Suns 38-40 free throw shootin tonight rank all time in the NBA. I think this might be a top 5 performance in the history of the NBA, Because not many teams that put up 40 shots usually make 38 of them.

I see Shaq didn't get to the line then...

Yeah? That's crazy. Since when can Shaq hit free-throws?

Phil Webber is working with Shaq really hard for him to improve his free throws, so I guess its paying off.

Yeah, 7 of 9 is probably average for an NBA player, but for Shaq it's a real achievement.

^^He's been shooting free throws like crap for the past 15 years, saying that he's going to improve might be an awful reach (he's also shooting them worse than in Miami :)). Great team effort though. 95% FT shooting, that's just nasty.

I remember the Mavs shooting 49/50 in a playoff game 4 or 5 years ago.
Nonetheless, 38/40 is very impressive.
