D'Antoni - give a few minutes to Skinner / DJ!!

Post#1 » by Suns_fan_2007 » Sun Mar 23, 2008 5:16 pm

Damn D'Antoni. Just because we're on a win streak doesn't mean all is well.

We have to account for injuries. He should give a few minutes to Skinner / DJ, especially when we blew out the Rockets in the first quarter last night.

It's not just that our team is older, but what happens when an injury (god forbid) happens? We have to have our better bench players ready to play, not ice cold due to zero minutes for half the season.

No sir, not even with Bell sidelined, shorten the rotation to just 7 players.

We have 13 players we're paying for on the Suns team, and almost half the team didn't play, not even a few minutes.

I hope this is not the downfall come playoff time. Don't be stubborn D'Antoni!!! :banghead:

It hasn't happened the past few seasons. It ain't going to happen this season.

And hell, usually at the end of the season with playoff seeds locked, we should see some of them get minutes, but definitely not this season with how tight the west is. Our starters will probably log over 30 mins in the last game of the season.

So no. Mike D will not play them. Playoffs will be a 7 man rotation. Period.

Playoffs will be an 8 man rotation w/ occasional appearances by a 9th man.

Oops I did forget about him.

Not sure about a 9th man appearing tho. I guess if we are up by 30 or 40.... then MAYBE we might see them.

At least we know we have a good 8-9 man rotation. To me, Skinner has proven he can step in and do what is asked of him. With raja out, I was a little disapointed with DA only playing 7 guys when we are so old with guys who have had injuries. I know we are in a race, and every single game counts, but I really think skinner should get some mins every other game, and DJ should have got in because of raja's absents.

At least now, I think we have a good 9-10 guy roster that is pretty solid.

But this is DA, and we all know how he is going to play the bench. He does not have the excuss of not having any talent.
