The problem wasn't Shaq per se, but how D'Antoni runs the offense that pretty much ignores him.

dantoni has done a great job incorporating shaq into the offense, how you can say we ignore him is beyond me
we use him as much as we should. We didnt at first, but we have found a good balance lately

ok, relax over there. im the biggest fan on this forum. for one, did any of you know that Kobe wore number 8 because d'antonee was kobes favorite player as a kid?
wtf is IBTL?
i love the suns, but shaq was a real bad move. they should have gotten a guy like lamarcus aldridge.

No one looks for him... he seldom position's himself to score.... many times he is out on top of the key assisting Nash.

you need to watch the games more, we are using shaq fine
shaq gets enough shots and opportunities per game. Any more and it would take away from amare who is the REAL focal point of our offense

must be a huge fan this was your first post on the suns forum
"IBTL" is In Before The Lock, which this thread deserves
everyone knows why kobe wore number 8, do you know why he changed it?
how the hell would be have gotten aldridge?
im sick of these threads appearing after every loss, what a joke.
suns have a better chance at a title now than we did before - FACT

I disagree. What does someone like Shaq brings to a team? Floor spacing! D'Antoni absolutely will not use him to spread the floor. To spread the floor he must be a offensive threat. D'Antoni is not making him a offensive threat.

to me he is as much of a threat as he needs to be
our spacing is fine, shaq gets it in the post 10 times a game, he gets his touches, but if we were to go to a "pound it into shaq all the time" play like how miami used him then we would be severley underusing amare nash and hill
i would rather do what we are doing and slightly underuse shaq, than go to him more often and take away from the other guys
its amares team, every other player is secondary

Did you say cornerstone??????

Good one man. I love the matrix, but the "cornerstone" as you call it could not take us all the way.
Anyway, I agree with my man SDU. I think they are using him just right. Maybe not all the time, but doing a good job so far.
I love how the new guy has to prove his suns fan hood by saying that kobe used to wear #8 because of DA. Yeah, its not like the tv analyst did not say that every time we played them. Come one man, too many old timers in here.
Weak post.
