I watched the game vs. Boston last night and I was surprised at how many minutes Giricek played for you. From what I saw he hit some open shots and didn't have a bad game.

As a Jazz player he was inconsistent, not a team player and always in Sloan's doghouse. I always thought he could thrive in a system like the Suns.

My question is do you think he will be a valuable asset to you in your playoff run? Is he taking minutes from Raja or someone else? At this point would you like to see him back in Phoenix next year?

hes been our best player off the bench the last 5 games.one thing i like about him is his guts and he is not afraid to take the shots. so far, he is the most consistent player off the bench. if we can sign him for a min or 2-3 million range, id love to see him back.

General thought was that Giricek would get his points mostly on open looks generated by Nash, but that is not the case. He is putting the ball on the floor and hitting pull-up jumpers from mid-range area on a regular basis. His ability to create his own shot is even more important now that Barbosa is struggling to get the team in any kind of offensive flow. Giricek`s defense is also ok most of the time, last night Pierce was just too big and strong for him. Also Artest got his way in the post with him, but against player who have similar physical tools Giricek can do a very solid job.

He obviously does not have athleticism to be a big time scorer in this league, but if he continues to play hard and under control like he did so far, i think Suns will offer him extension for a reasonable amount in range of 2-3 million per.

In Utah Giricek was mostly used as a shooter off curls, while in Phoenix that is rarely the case. In his first season in Jazz uniform Gordan was most effective since he had more touches and was allowed to attack from spot up positions, which is better part of his offensive game. Ever since his offensive role disminished and he got frustrated because he is shot happy player.

I'm glad we ended up with him rather than that b*tcha*s Barry. Giri's game is so much more multi-faceted. He can penetrate, has good handles, plays decent defense, and shoots a nice percentage......I'm also surprised at how athletic and fluid he has turned out to be........the few times I had really watched him prior to arriving to Phoenix, he kind've of seemed stiff.

Giri has been a great addition. I think he still needs confidence and to get used to the offense,. Then I think his jumpshot will really light up then. However one underrated facet, is he seems to be a great teammate. He is always praising everyone, celebrating other teammates, and giving his all on the court. I think he is able to come out of shell after the Jazz/76ers. He is all around good guy it seems.

I am impressed with how he creates off the dribble. I thought he was going to be James Jones 2.0, but he has more in his tool chest than JJ did.

Not a knock on Jones, I loved the guy. I just think that GG is the kind of role player we need to fill the off-the-bench role that JJ did. The plus is that he does it better (at least so far) than JJ did.

Yeah he's been great so far. Considering how long he sat in Utah/Philly and that he hasn't been with us long he has been a nice surprise. Although I knew he was a good player before he went to Utah. I just didn't know if JS had sucked the life out of him.

I would love to see him back next year. They should offer him the bi-annual exception ($1. and see if he will bite. If he wants to continue his feel-good comeback story he will. For once I hope it isn't about the $.

If we could get out of him what we got out of Tim Thomas, I'll be thrilled.

Maybe we can make it a yearly tradition.

I think Gordan should replace Bell in the starting lineup.

Although we hated him in Utah for the very same reasons you love him (pesky and risky defense, and also too much trying to create his own shot). Even then, I am sincerely happy he is having a better time and future over there.

I think the fact that he was benched by both teams was a wakeup call for him. He must have gotten so angry that he wanted to prove they were wrong.

Its a free flowing offense, with Steve Nash, which makes players better and more comfortable. Plus Sloan tends to rub people the wrong way after awhile, so I think that made him unhappy (not as an excuse, just a comment).

Well he looks more comfortable in his new role, and honestly I always new Girichuck was a good player (we saw flashes in Utah) but he could NOT play within Utah's system. Always in the wrong place, throwing off the plays and when he felt as if he wasnt' getting enough touches he would fly off the handle and attempt to create his own shot. Very rarely having success doing so.

.. The Suns style is more down Gordon's ally, and I'm glad to finally see he's found his comfort zone.
