My SUNS/Lakers projection for final seeding

Lakers (49-24) have 9 games left with with a potential to lose 5 of those 9 games:
Next game is the Wiz, one team who seems to always beat the best teams in the league.
They have to play SAC two more times. Yikes!
New Orleans lays in waiting.
Spurs come next.
That is 5 serious potential loses they are looking at. Pau may or may not be a factor.
SUNS (48-24) in contrast have 10 games left, with 2 serious potential loses. We have to play Denver b2b leading to a some-what safe assumption we split the b2b.
The other concern is Spurs in SA. Too close to call so I'll be conservative and say we lose.
We have GSW AGAIN, but we play them at home and I feel good we will handle them.
Bottom line, SUNS *could* squeak by the Lakers and have home court if we see them in the playoffs.

I don't mind if we don't get home-court as long as we get to play LA in the first round. But yes it looks like the Lakers will struggle more than we will at this point of the schedule, so if we are fortunate enough to meet LA in the first round we will probably be the one with the higher seed. LA are very sloppy and unlikely to finish strong. Our game @SAS will be interesting, because we definitely have the potential to win that one, the matchup is good for us. And the Denver games are very winnable too. There is a very good chance Phoenix can finish the season either undefeated or losing just 1 or 2. Either way, we will finish with a top 5 seed I believe and a very good chance a the top 2 seed.

on the topic of end of season standings, what's the suns season record against the hornets?

Hopefully you guys do pull out the home court. As Phil Jackson said there is no real sense of home court advantage at the staple center anyway. Even though thier home record is better than there away record the Lakers clearly play better on the road. Good luck the rest of the way.

I know the Suns can beat the Lakers, but I don't want to play them simply because I am so SICK of lakers fans! Biggest bandwagon fans alive.
Lakers Fans quotes: "Fire Mitch", "Mitch is the greatest", "Lets boo kobe!", "Kobe is MVP". "Odom sucks, trade him" , "Odom kicks ass!"
Make up your minds Lakers fans!
I want to see a Lakers vs GS series, so GS destroys them in the First round!

I thought bandwagon fans are those who only cheer when the team is good. But most people on this forum are fans no matter what. At least that's the sense that I get.
Besides, is flip-flopping on issues within the team really part of bandwagoning? That's showing concern at every little thing that may or may not be bad for the team.
I'm sure you guys loved Boris Diaw two years ago and hate him now. Is that bandwagoning? Or is it just a natural response to the way his game has regressed?
Not to menton, I'm sure many of you didn't like Shaq prior to joining the Suns. Are you bandwagoning now that he's on board?
There are many ways to deride Laker fans. Calling them bandwagoners doesn't exactly seem like one of them.

if this is a serious question.. the hornets swept us this year so we have no wins against them.
if this is a troll question... screw you.

We'll play whoever, it shouldn't matter at that point.
But the earlier we play the lakers, the better.

Right - before Bynum and Gasol are 100%
Derek Fisher apparently has a torn tendon - don't know how serious it is.
But whoever we match up with, getting through the West will be a meatgrinder. I may have to start drinking again

They lost against the friggin Grizzlies! Unless Pau gets back at 100% real soon I think we'll take the Pacific div again.
If the Lalas don't get healthy quick they cud easily get knocked out in the 1st round, w/ the west being so strong this year and all...

Lakers dont scare anyone at all, when they get past the first round then Lakers fans can talk. Right now they havent been to the second round in 4 years and will make it 5 years when thet lose to the Warriors this year.

I really don't see all the Laker write offs...the team is legit, they're still on top despite starting Vlad and Turiaf and Fisher, all 3 of whom are better suited to be bench players...they're missing Gasol and Bynum and are STILL a top 3 seed...that says that the bench/combinations/coaching are carrying them...I wouldn't want them first round.

As usual TASTIC bringing a fair unbias opinion. I still think you guys will get the top seed. This year is crazy!!!

N'orleans will get the top, and rightly so. SA at #2, LAL at #3 and UTA at #4...
so yeah, it'll stay as it is now I'd imagine (obviously a lot of movement before then, like I could see SA at #1 for a bit, same goes for LAL)
Matchup I want is HOU first round...simply because I don't think TMac's helper monkeys can keep up their team game over 7 games...teams will just let McGrady get 40 each game and then see how many open shots Alston etc can knock down...
