I really like the way this guy plays, very glad to have him on our team...he plays fast and aggressive, not sure if true or not, but seems like him and boris play well together. Maybe his aggressive play helps bobo get a fire going??

Anyways, Giri rocks...go suns

I'm happy we got this guy... it seemed that the pick up was gonna be nothing but maybe 5 minutes/game. But this guy has turned out to be a solid rotation player.

Hey for a 5th the price of Marcus Banks, I seriously think EVERYONE should be happy with a guy who will play 20mins night in and night out and we know what we're getting. Hopefully they re-sign him at Pike money for 2-3 years...

Giri has been much better than most thought. Right when I heard he was the back up plan if we didn't get Brent Barry I was kinda rooting for Barry to choose the spurs. Giri is a great fit here and Barry would've been a one year rental while Giri could maybe be resigned.

wonder if we can keep this rental?

Given that Giri's career has more-or-less been saved, he's a regular rotation player, and he's winning a lot, he obviously likes his new coach (after the Jazz, who wouldn't?)... I would think he would sign with us pretty cheap!

Haha, SDU hit it on the head.

It seems that more and more players come here to boost their stat line for the season or post-season and then jump ship because of their perceived increase in output in the highest soring offense in the league.

....okay, second highest. Still.

GG, as I will continue to call him because it is easier to type than Giri (am I lazy? yes... did it take me longer to type this explanation than all of the time that I could save just typing Giri> yes) has brought yet more offensive and defensive production comparitively than most other players in the NBA.

I never thought I would say this... but I wish more players would act more like Arenas...

You have to expect that time to time from a bench player that is still new with the team. People that haven't played team basketball don't know how hard it is to come off the bench and immediately play solid and relaxed, especially when you've got a coach (D'Antoni) that isn't afraid to sit you on the bench in favor of a starter. It takes a few minutes to get up to speed with the game and a lot of times bench players will try and force things (scoring, etc) to show the coach they should be playing.

Over at Memphis and Utah the major problem was his consistency. He can start a few games but he will struggle eventually. As i observed he has quite improved defensively and this can be used when Raja is in foul trouble--- but don't bet on it, he's quite lazy and slow at times.

Either on offense or defense, he can definitely be used in spurts--- the question is if he has the mental toughness come playoff time, you do hope that the veterans are working on his head right about this point of the season.

GG seems to still be adjusting abit. Please work on the threes and become a huge threat at the line thatd be awesome.

GG has surpassed by expectations. I think he is a guy that has Joe Johnson esk ability to take over a game, drive, and play D. But that is to a lesser extent and only in spurts. I don't want to compare him to JJ but he reminds me of him at times.

I agree with albasuna that if he starts making his threes then that would be awesome.

I like this pick up for us too. Maybe it all works out for a reason, seems a bit more mobile than Brent. by that I mean, he can create his shot. BB is pretty much a spot up shooter. So, this seems to be a great move for us.
