Wonder why Tucker been recalled...

Could it because he is averaging 28.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 57.7 percent from the field, including 44.2 percent from three-point range?
Nah, that can't be because you know D'Antoni has no intention of playing him.

I was wondering about the recall too. I was wondering if maybe they can smuggle 5-10 minutes to see what Tucker can do. Though it's hard to see D'Antoni using 10 players in a game.

Well, D'Antoni did say that playoff seeding didn't matter, maybe in past years, but not this year. He's confident in his "veteran team", as am I.
Maybe he's gonna throw some minutes around and let the vets rest?

You HAVE to think as soon as the playoff birth is clinched he'll rest Hill and Raja as much as possible...seriously I'd rate LAL, SA, NOR all on par in terms of 1st round matchups, and UTA a notch below.

let's hope he gives Alando some minutes. I liked the pick at the time, but Tucker has disappointed a bit so far. Maybe he will be on the roster next year.
I was angry last year tho when we traded away all those picks. We could've had Fernandez or Splitter.... But I think everybody was angry that day

i think he was sent to dleague so that he can keep his self fit physically since he wont get any playing time from mike d. now that its 2 weeks away from the playoffs, he was recalled so that he will be part of the practices and preparations in the playoffs, not expected to play but to experience the atmosphere of playoffs at least...

I am pretty sure the bench will play a lot of minutes tonight in anticipation of tomorrow big game against the Sterns.

Tucker was an interesting pick...Wisconsin's style was pretty much completely different than ours.
Still, the fact that we had picks 21/27 in 06 and 24/29 in 07 and somehow came away with only Alando Tucker to show for it.....

Remember though, our 1st round pick in '06 was 'Amare Stoudemire' and the '07 draft was all about staying under the good ole Lux Tax. Remember Dantoni's quote though..."We're not here to develop players, we're here to win an NBA championship." In my opinion he's fundamentally wrong here because I believe in addition to playing your core players and striving for the NBA championship that you also need to develop younger players a little bit and look towards the long term future (like not selling draft picks) **See the current Miami Heat for the classic example of this**
That says alot about his playing rotations always being 7-8 men deep and rookies not seeing the light of day. I believe Dantoni could very well be around as long as Nash is probably through his contract and he'll leave us a nice pile of Sh!@ for a team after Amare, Diaw, and Barbosa not counting potential trades and/or free agent signings after the 2009-10 season.

Are you serious? Have you been living under a rock for the last 6 years? Amare was drafted in 2002.

^ I was being sarcastic dude. After the 2006 draft Robert Sarver sat alongside Amare Stoudemire and proudly proclaimed him the Suns 2006 draftpick after selling and trading both of their picks that year.

Did anyone here watch Tucker in college? If you did, could you break down his game for us? I know it's just college and the D-League, but he's been putting up some serious numbers and seems like he has the tools to be a player in this league. If he could develop, that would be huge for us.
