I would be happy with either Rush or Love.

In all honesty I hope we don't get Love.

Love is a good player, and will be a solid roll player in this league. To me, he reminds me a lot of KT. Better passer tho. Not that athletic, smart, good mid range shot, solid D etc. Hes not a bad player, but I rather take some other player.

IMO Jordan could be a perfect fit. Amazing athlete who could learn and sit behind Shaq for 2 years.

Westbrook would also be very nice if he fell. It might even make Barbosa expendable depending on how he adjusts and what we do in the playoffs this year.

The way this draft is shaping out, there should definatly be some talent on the board at #15

I think some here are being really picky....

the Suns pick is looking to be no. 15.

The Suns will take the best player that suits their needs at that pick.

Most of the players people want here will most likely be gone by the 15th.

If Love is still there, I think its a "nice" pick at 15th.
Or Rush.

Budinger is a good pick for the Suns also, with D'Antoni, his potential is mouth watering for Sarver and Kerr.

Rush is not worth a top 15 pick. He is being so over hyped because of the national championship. Maybe if we had our pick he would be worth it. I have no problem with him as a later first round prospect but he is not a mid first prospect.

Love is good though. He is a good player that complements STAT. I am just a little concerned about his ability to defend NBA centers. If he can prove that then he is well worth the pick.

Yes, they both did well in the college game, HOWEVER what have they shown to warrant anything more than ROLE players over an NBA career? NOTHING. Jordan over McGee? Have you watched either player? McGee has the better upside to him. The only thing that Jordan has over McGee right now is the strength and weight . McGee's defense, passing and shot blocking are better than Jordan's. Personally I think McGee would be the better fit alongside Amare than Jordan would be.

Brandon Rush is a nice shooter with great defensive potential and no ability to consistently create his own shot; he's pretty much Raja Ball with longer arms and more athleticism.

EDIT: Also, anyone suggesting Jordan over McGee is crazy; DeAndre Jordan is pretty much the anti-skill player, he's got nothing but physical traits that he doesn't even wield all that effectively. He's a thought if McGee is gone but realistically, McGee has comparable athletic ability and a lot more talent.

Count me in as well. There are a few aspects that I don't think translate well in the NBA. #1 Conditioning. Against a running team, or on a running team, he's slow to get up and down the floor. If he plays a lot in transition, and you put a body on him he expends a ton of energy and gets worn down very easily. #2 He has virtually no leaping ability. Along with his lack of lateral speed, I think that's going to hurt his defense tremendously all across the board. #3 Offense in the NBA. Kevin Love relies a lot on getting low position, and backing his guy down for an easy bank off the glass. What happens when he goes up against defenders that he can't back them up, with longer arms, and blocking ability? I don't see him getting the same easy points that he dominated college with.

But Love is very fundamentally sound.

But, Tim Duncan, Andrew Bogut, Brad Duagherty etc.... he is in the same mold... obviously he is about 3 inch shorter, athletic wise he is in the same mold as these guys etc.

But again the point is, that Love is very polished and basketball smart, you'd think a chubby player like him, 6'8-6'9 would just struggle to play basketball period... but he doesnt... he uses what he has and it works.

Tim Duncan is actually considerably more athletic than most people realize but he's simply not flashy. He's not a huge leaper but he's got great fluidity and he runs the floor well.

Some people don't think Kevin Love will amount to an NBA start. It all depends on how tall he is. If he measures 6-8.5 without shoes, he without a doubt worth taking. He is still young so he can grow another .5 inch to 1.5 inches. If he grows .5 inches, he would be 6-9 without shoes and 6-10 with them. That would give him more of potential to play center in the NBA.

I'd be more interested in Joe Alexander but i think the big thing with guys like this is desire and commitment. barkely should never have been the player he was, based on his physical attributes, but no-one ever wanted it more.

I cannot agree more completely with this post. Both of those players had a great college career. But I do not believe their games will translate well into the NBA. Every draft year there are players who enter the NBA and just cannot carry what greatness they had at the college level.

I would like to think Love could be a Nick Collison or David Lee type player in the league (wouldn't it be great to have one of them in a Suns uni?), but I don't think he can even be that.

And to the other posts about comparing Love to KT.... can I have whatever drugs you are on? KT even in his old age is better than Love at his young age. Which also reminds me..... Kevin Love's ceiling for improvement is really limited. Whoever drafts him will get him at his best RIGHT NOW and if he does improve on anything, it will be marginal.

I don't know why, but I think Love would be a good role player for the suns. There may end up being some better options at 15 I mean hey I'm no draft expert. You just never know with the NBA Draft.

Well the thing is, the West is getting bigger. Shaq is only going to be around for so long. Amare has said it himself that he can't really guard the 7 foot guys.. like Duncan. Portland is gonna be a huge problem in the future for everyone. A Stoudemire Love frontcourt will not get it done.

I mean.. if the Suns are okay with coming away from this with a bench roleplayer, then sure, go ahead and draft Love.
