Nice game thread. I think this is a must win game for the Suns obviously. D'antoni needs to outcoach Pop and barbs and Diaw need to bring their a game. I think the fact the suns didn't have the foul trouble excuse to use in game 2 will be a big blow to their confidence. They need to show up and play for 4 quarters HARD and keep taking it to the Spurs. Defensively they need to stop Manu and Parker ripping them a new a-hole inside and make some stops, if i was the Suns i'd knock parker down a few times to send a message and put him off his game. Nash can't defend him so they need to work out something.

Anyways, i think the Spurs win it by 3.

The key will be Grant Hill's health IMO. He played u guys real when he was fit, and did a decent job on Manu/Parker along with Raja.
With Hill not at 100% it lets Parker n Manu murder us since Raja can't handle the perimeter D all alone. Giri isn't quick enuf to stop em and Barbs' defense just isn't where it shud be at.
I'm not gonna count on DA out-coaching Pop, that's 1 matchup I never expect us to win.

If Grant's healthy : Suns by 7

I don't think you can rely on Hill though. That's like the Spurs relying on Horry or Finley, it's just not gonna happen. Hill has been injury prone his whole career so the Suns knew that when they signed him up. Everyone who criticized the Suns said the same thing, sure he'll be great when he's healthy, but that is few and far between.

It's gotta be one of the young players to step up. Why not use Strawberry? He's supposedly a good defender he could give you some good minutes on Parker if merely to foul him and put him out of rhythm.

Grant Hill was healthy basically the entire year, so it really wasn't just "few and far between" games at all.

If I was coachin I'd put Stawbs in the rotation over Barbs against u guys since Stawbs is a much better defender and LB usually becomes useless and seems to have a mental blockage when he goes up against Manu. Must a Brazilo-Argentino thing since Argentina owns Brazil in b-ball or sth

I know Hill had a relatively healthy year but he was played far too much, hence now he's injured. Just bad player management.

yeah i don't know why D'antoni continues to use the ineffective Barbosa. Give Strawbs some minutes and see what he can do. Pop made that adjustment in game one when Vaughn got burnt. he simply stopped using him and started running Manu at the point instead.

LOL. This thread made my morning...seriously.

Diaw needs to step it up...stop trying to do all these tricks and actually do something. GAME 3 WILL CHANGE IT ALL.

Diaw and Barbosa are **** and will kill this team in the playoffs if they don't show up and play ball. 0-7 Barbs? Pull the cock out of your ass and start playing.

suns need to come out fired up for this game without any letdowns during any qtr, if we score 11 pts or less in anymore qtrs this series season is over. I really firmly believe the suns will come out and take game 3 really want to believe they will and know whats at stake if they lose. GO SUNS WIN FRIDAY OR GO HOME

Couldn't have said it better myself. The Spurs have always had Barbs number, and Diaw played for his contract and disappeared.

I guess. You guys would be almost unstoppable with Iguodala. He would be the perfect fit for your run n gun offense. If you cant tell, I'm a Sixers fan.

Fret not, Suns fans. SA is notorious for going up 2-0 at home and then laying an egg in Game 3 on the road. As a Spurs fan I hope it doesn't happen, but it's definitely something to consider.

Pretty clearly a must-win here. No one's ever come back from down 3-0, and while nothing would be sweeter than giving the Spurs the ultimate choke label, I can't say I see that happening. Interesting to see how the Suns come back from last night's pathetic offering. Of course, getting out to a big lead in the 1st half will be utterly meaningless. Getting walloped in the 1st half will still be pretty meaningful, though.

Winning game 3 and 4 is not an option. It's mandatory.

Once that happens, then the Suns need to win game 5 /6 /7.

These two games must be won or it's over.

Go Suns.
