Why The Suns Won Game 4

Does anyone think Kerr did not have a talk with D'Antoni about the importance of matching up instead of speed against the Spurs?
Keys of the game:
Starting Diaw and playing him for 45 mins. This gave the Suns an additional post presence and scoring threat as well as added rebounding, something you don't achieve putting 3 guards on the floor against the Spurs starting line.
Limiting Barbs to 28 mins instead of a insane 40 mins.
Playing Giricek 23 mins. He was key along with Diaw because of his Defense IQ which disrupts the Spurs on offense. His 3 point threat enables better floor spacing.
Puting Skinner in the game for 12 mins allowed for more Diaw playing Wing instead of relieving Shaq.
The BIG question why did it take for the Suns to go down 3 games to none before D'Antoni wised up? Kerr?

Because according to D'Antoni, we're going to bust them.

Spurs wanted to win the series at home.....
but seriously, I've said it a million times, when Bell is hitting shots, Suns usually win big. He is a definition of streaky... nothing wrong with that, half the league are streaky.
Suns won the game, because quiet simply, apart from Bell playing well... err.. shooting well... Diaw played well also..... and the defense was much more aggressive.
Combination of that and Suns with more energy... and Spurs missing shots finally... it got the Suns a big lead.
Game 5.... basically... play with more energy... with more energy, leads to better defense, leads to GOOD things period. Just hope the aggressive defense leads to Spurs missing some shots... and hopefully someone for the Suns turns it on...

Way to "bust 'em"...
...when the series is essentially over, Mike.

If that is the case then D'Ant really needs to be fired because there is really nothing difficult about Diaw repeating his post moves to draw in defenders for other players to nail outside shots.

Is it just me or did some of you guys noticed we are actually a better half-court team than the Spurs. When Diaw is posting up the floor is nicely spread and to double Diaw is just like a sin with his court vision and passing ability.
Popovich is one of a hell X&O coach so its quite easy to anticipate an adjustment from the Spurs to negate Suns half-court game. Expect a lot of flopping from the Spurs on Game 5 if that is what it takes to close the series.
For Suns to win this Series I still think Grant Hill is the key.

Hill is a key, but I think he is a liability under D'Ant.....here is why.....
If Hill starts that means D'Ant and his twisted mind will sub Barbosa for him and go back to subbing Diaw for Shaq. Suns see less GG and and perhaps no Skinner.
Pops must just love playing against such a babbling fool.

I noted that in game 3 where the Suns had Diaw in the game he was making passes from the post and getting the team involved but then he was called for some questionable calls and had to come out of the game.

I'm scared of what kind of adjustments San Antonio is going to make for Game 5. They'll definitely find a way to shut Diaw down, so it's gonna be up to STAT to step up, and for our wings to find a way to continue to hit shots. But most importantly, Mike D's gonna have to find some way to outcoach Pop if we're going to have a chance to make history. Good start today though.

^^ If Suns play fundamental BB, remain aggressive and use Barbs as a Nash backup instead of GG there isn't much the Spurs can do or Pops would had done it in game 4.

Diaw should play 3 or 4 in this series. Playing him at 5 will slim down Suns chances.
Also Amare and D'Antoni should come out mentally prepared and strong. Tech fouls will hurt the Suns more.

all valid points, but if you are claiming to have known all along what should have been done why were you on the "start linton johnson" bandwagon for game 3?
had dantoni done what you said we would have been stomped even more

Why ? I ll tell u why !
The Spurs wanna end it at home straight and simple, this win was a bone to a dying dog or maybe the "betterhuman" Duncan felt sorry for Steve !
whatever was nice but totally worthless

Mike D is N O T gonna outcoach Pop. Keep dreaming.
Mike D can't even see that it's WORTH it to give your bench the chance (with a 25 point lead and SA's starters out) to save the game to keep your starters out of trouble/injury problems.
If you don't trust 6 out of your 13 players, there is no way you are going to outcoach Pop.. i.e. timely stopages, use your bench, make defensive, offensive, other adjustments, etc... . Just not gonna happen.
Mike D's best coaching move is intentionally getting thrown out of the game...
Remember, I'm not banging him for his ability to create offense.. but his inability to manage /ingame/..
