Nash had a bad game, among many, and people calling for his head.

Its incredible how one particular game people go 180 degrees and ready to crucify Nash.


Suns were down 3-0, and that wasnt just Nash's fault. In fact, from what I remember, it was him who did a lot of work to keep the game going in Game 1.

Fact is, people here... some.
Have expectations even higher than the reigning champions... expectations higher than every other fans.... incredibly HIGH expectations.



Am I upset at Nash's mistakes throughout the season and most recently Game 5?.... yes.

But one game doesnt defy his whole contributions.

I'm as frustrated as most here, and wished the Suns played better but they didnt. Its a team blame, not just one person...




People asking for Nash to be traded....
Thats basically saying... Start a new campaign... rebuild.
Because, a team around Stoudemire is still worse than the current team. Im more disappointed with Stoudemire actually. All the promises, all the talk... yet no action. He is a terrific scorer no doubt, but when the team needs other contributions he isnt there... he doesnt put his heart and mind to it... too "dumb" to realize that contributing in other aspects would help the team to become even better. But I wouldn't throw him under the bus as some here has done with Nash.

I'd trade him, get a good interior defender and a swingman.
And the Suns are back into contention next season.


Trade Nash?, then you will have to literally get Chris Paul or Deron Williams in a Sun uniform, as anyone else will make the Suns worse. Since thats unlikely, basically, when you trade Nash... then you trade away everyone, as this team is built around him.


Its not Stoudemire's team yet... the guy doesnt have the grasp on leading a team yet.... yet.. funny word... maybe in his 10th season he'd start to be a real dominant big man in both ends... its not asking for the Sun or the moon... the guy has the tools.... he doesnt have the attitude.




If Suns decide to rebuild... then its been a great ride... I'll look forward to the next generation.


If not, and they decide to fight on... then pick up where they left off... improve on defense, get athletic.... and fight on.




I like Diaw's potential.. always had, and now seeing his ability to be a post threath WHEN PLAYS ARE CALLED FOR HIM.... I'd keep him, if the Suns can get a more suitable player I'd do the trade, but I like what I saw and want more plays for him.


Barbosa needs to be traded while he has value, fans here want him for his contract, but what about whats good for the team?

Barbosa for other players who can contribute in play making and defense would be better for the Suns...





Now for the Nash bashers.... calm down, get your mind off the game and the net. Chill.

Keepers:

Boris Diaw
Steve Nash
Amare Stoudemire
DJ Strawberry

These are the only guys i'd like to keep. As for the rest trade them if possible.

And my final suggestion, as much as I have loved what these Suns have become under Mike D'antoni, it has become more clear than ever that Mike D'antoni needs to go (whether it be under his own free will or by the hand of Steve Kerr.)

Guys D'antoni no longer commands the respect of his players. And a few guys in particular have no confidence in Mike's coaching. Guys like Stoudemire and Nash no longer trust or respect Mike. And as sad as it is to say it, if Mike doesn't leave this off-season we may start to see guys like Amare and Steve turn on Mike.

Nash no longer respects D'Antoni? Wow, where do you get this BS?

Nash+Amare don't have the confidence in D'antoni they once had.

Great post couldn't agree more Nash is the leader of this team if it wasn't for bonehead coaching we should have won game 1 and game 5 aww well next year

Could someone point me to where Amare has knocked D'Antoni down? Honest question. I haven't seen the quote, interview, or whatever that makes people say this.

I might have misinterpreted your post, but Amare was speaking in past tense in regards to Mike D'Antoni as our coach. He never spoke of a quote to really support him. He said something along the lines of I have fun when he was here, the pratices and stuff. Or when I was here we had fun running up and down... something like that.


I think he was just not thinking though.

I just dismiss the trade Nash talks as pure desperation pleas. No way this happens.

Really though I think Amare is just frustrated about how the team was coached and how they choked at the end. He seen first hand that the Spurs are so fine tuned that it made him realize that the Suns have a ways to go in fixing up those intangibles they lack. In my Biased Opinion I believe we can fix those up in less than a year hahaha.

What annoys me the most, is that there are a lot of die hard Amare fans that are calling out Nash for the last few turnovers, when Amare virtually disappeared for the entire series. Yet, they don't blame Amare? Give me a break. At least Nash comes to play, every game. I'd like to see how good Amare will do, without Nash to run the pick and roll too.

Well if amare learned how to like, grab a rebound, phoenix would probably be a much better team. I mean he's in the same unhumanly athleticism class as Dwight howard, and that dude grabs 20 rebs all the time. whats stopping amare doing the same?

I was thinking about this quote of Amares a lot, especially because he is being completely bashed for it. Maybe D'Antoni already told the guys he was really considering leaving, because that has been all the speculation. Not that he is being fired but leaving and Amare just let the cat out of the bag too early.

nash is just so unlucky... he got a talented team mates but got attitude problems.......
