Do you get an idea of JJ in handling of Mike?

Joe Johnson ultimately wanted more respect, recognition, and play like he knew he was capable of. The Phoenix Suns management told JJ he was the 4th best option on the team. The Suns spun that as either he is going to resign and be a team player or he will jet set to take his chances at proving his proclaimed value.
Ultimately JJ balked when the Suns at the midnite hour attempted to raise their offer to match the Hawks. Rumor has it JJ ask them not to go through the troubles of writing up a new contract.
From a Suns fans perspective we got Boris Diaw and a first round pick which management could use to further offset an Olympic All-Star being sent to Atlanta. Suns fans were estatic. Even in RealGM boards constantly harass the Atlanta forums on what a steal we got and a selfish player they got.
Now a few years removed, Mike D is in similar waters. He feels a lack of respect, recognition, and he feels his style of play without major injuries, obstructions from officials, and meddling ownership one day could win a championship. To be honest the Suns were two 4th qtr meltdowns from moving on to the next round. Things werent as bad as they seemed, but for Mike maybe they werent as close as the seemed from his perspective.
Breaking News:
Ownership has told Mike we want you back but feel free to test the waters.
LOL !!!! Hypothetically that is the same as telling your girlfriend to go out and sleep with other guys.
You know for a fact she wont come back and your not taking her back. What in the hell kinda game does management think it is playing with its fans intellect?
- Amare already speaks of Mike D in the past tense
- Espn Ric Bucher has said this lays the ground work for Steve Kerr or Vinny Del Negro to be the head coach next season.
- Mark Jackson was not signed in NY simply because it has been said that the GM wanted the oppurtunity to speak with Mike D if made available. That sounds like option A has arrived in NY come Tuesday.
Hey if the Suns are going to rid themselves of Mike D. I can live with it, but dont treat us like a g-rated movie and hide facts, or sensor the truth that this is all up to Mike if he is coming back or not. This seems like Phx is looking for some way to grab a late first round draft pick from this or a player of some magnitude. It seems like a plot or call it a ploy.. but it doesnt in any way seem like this is up to Mike whether he returns or not.
Because of the way it was spun to this day I have a hard time rooting for JJ.
I will gaurantee this however, I will root for Mike D to have success whereever he goes.................as long as its not Dallas...
