Well, maybe the next coach will just adopt the system for these two years and even give the bench some mins. I was very negative when the Spurs eliminated us, but I'm getting more hopeful since then. Maybe the new coach will work out fine.

is this a reliable report? Verifying parties who have heard/seen this? I smell BS

Scott Bordow was just on ESPN News and the only guy he mentioned as a candidate was Thibadeux, the assistant coach of Boston.

- He doesn't think JVG will come because he blasted the Suns recently.

- He doesn't think Collins will come back to coach.l

- Said he doesn't think Avery Johnson is even a candidate.

Nobody really seems to know who will replace Mike.

Carlisle would have been great, but he's going to Dallas.

If that's true I won't be surprised at all if DA turns em around the same way he completely turned us around in 04-05.

Won't be surprised if he moves Hinrich for a passing PG, or tries going after 1 of the playas he extended when he was a GM (Barbs for shooting or Diaw for post-offense) either.

He's gonna get to work with a couple of the guys the Suns were high on in the past drafts (Noah n Thabo), so yay for him.

Wish him best of luck in Chi-town, if it's true.

It's false. It's not official.

Mike wants to go to Chicago, but the deal isn't done yet.

Least we forget all of the 'so called deals' espn was reporting concerning KG. All this drama makes very good press and gives these writers free reign in their speculative reporting.

GD...I wish they had more of a Walter Cronkite style and just tell what happened after it does. But, it seems this is the way of the Millineum Media, be it sports, politics, or the GD weather.

If it says ESPN take it with a grain of salt as the others have mentioned. Nothing done yet...yahoo always break them before ESPN by a few minute anyway

DBdynasty heard anything?

Good god I hope he doesn't sign with Chicago. Can you imagine the Bulls playing a run and gun offense? And what about the Suns? Can we really expect Amare, Nash, Shaq, Barbosa, Diaw to play even adequate defense under a new coach? I mean it's practically switching to a completely opposite style of basketball. Suns aren't used to banging in the post and playing in a slow tempo while crashing the boards. This would be a disaster.

I'm all over Tom Thibedeaux coming here. That would be a great hire.

If Mikey D wants to be a stiff baby and go running off cause he dont play well with others than let him go. Now lets see how Kerr gets out of the crap hole Lil Mikey left the organization in.

Defense is what Kerr said he wanted...offense is what D'Ant said he could provide. round peg, square hole. Thibedeaux = square peg.

If these non-D players actually had practices devoted to defense, I would hope they could accommodate their GM's / coach's way of thinking and become better at it. They have to. The offensive potential is already there.

By that question do you mean the Bulls would be better or worse?

Well, D'Antoni is still one of the better coaches in the NBA. He should be an improvement in Chi-town.
