I would prefer that we don't have him.

Nah, I'd go with the assistant on Boston first.

I would like to have Collins here, it seem he understands alot about our team and how we should utilize our players... obviously Hubie would be a better fit. (For our young guys). But I think Collins can do a good job here and maybe lead us to the Finals.
Collins is a mix of D'Ant and other coaches around the league. He'll be good for our veterans... we don't need this lockdown coach whos gonna be on our grandpas asses.

Eh, I really don't like Collins. He hasn't done anything in the NBA, and frankly I don't see how he is an upgrade to D'Antoni in any way.

Bets are on Dan Majerle being the next head coach not that even agree with it, but it seems like if the management tears apart the Suns they will have another scapegoat reason.
Let an A system coach leave, bring in someone that has to adapt to the NBA

Doug Collins is a waste of time.

Actually you guys are right.. we need someone who has proven himself already. Hopefully Kerr knows what he's doing because with the roster we have we should still be able to contend.

Collins Staying In Booth
Doug Collins says he has "no interest" in coaching again.
So it appears you can scratch one more name from the list of potential successors to fill the expected void left in Phoenix by Mike D'Antoni.
After calling the Lakers' victory over Utah for TNT on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, Collins told ESPN.com that he has not heard from the Suns

Well, unless we can get Phil Jackson or Popovich there will be no "upgrade", keep that in mind or you will be highly disappointed.

Thank the Lord Above that Collins isn't interested.

Here's the names i've heard:
Tom Thibodeau
Dan Majerlie
Eddie Johnson
Paul Silas
that's about it so far so take your pick from that.

I don't know if I'd want Majerle as the head-coach of this team based on his personality; I don't know if the players would want to play for him.
However, Eddie Johnson REALLY impresses me as an analyst; I think he would make a terrific head-coach.
I've listened to Majerle on the Commentary (On League Pass), and I just don't know if he has the personality to get the players to really like him.
I think Eddie would be better.

I'd have to say Mario Ellie or Bill Lambeir are our best choices....Majerle has no desire to coach

I'm all for Eddie Johnson. He's the only guy with no prior experience that I'd ever consider. He just gives off a head coaching aura.

The suns have said they are not interested in Van Gundy.
Majerle is not coaching material as of now. Eddie would be decent, Silas would be good too. We need a guy who will let Nash run this team, but teach them some team D! Gotta know how to work the vets and develop the rooks. Respect is big with these vets.
