So, we keep shaq and Hill, lose Nash and Amare and end up with a ton of picks/stiffs (Crawford, Jeffries). First no one would do these deals and second, we be banking on Rose, Beasley and Ty Thomas all being very good players. I'd do it, but there's no way anyone else would (esp Seattle with the Barbs/Straw/#5 for Beasley thing).

First of all this deal is very unlikely to happen, and we just aren't tranding Amare, did you hear Kerr ever say anything about trading him? In my oppinion we dont need Gooden and crawford we need a phyisical wing that can ddrive to the basket and defend. Than do you really think Barbs, Strawberry and # 5 would get us Beasley? Seattle just isnt trading pick in which they could land Beasley and i dont think anyone else would except for James and D12. Than u think we can get Derrick rose for Gooden who is scrub in my oppinion, old 3-point shooter in Bell and #6?
U are leaving in a dream and it's about time you wake up. Think like this is never gonna heppen, even in 100 years. The teams that you are sugesting we trade for Beasley and Rose are rebuilding and dont need bell, gooden... So they would basicaly get #6 for one of the biggest potentials of last years.

Holy crap Jlove why do you keep creating new threads with the most random ideas...I don't see why you couldn't put this in at 2 other threads on this page...the dream one for example - though this is more of a nightmare

Terrible deals. These are the deals we need to make. Sign and trade Platkowski, Tucker, Giricek, Our 1st round pick and cash for Maggette. Sign Jannero Pargo/Duhon. Resign Linton Johnson. We're stacked then.
New Suns Lineup
Nash/Pargo/Barbosa/Strawberry
Bell/Barbosa/Strawberry
Maggette/Hill/Johnson
Amare/Diaw/Marks
Shaq/Amare/Skinner

I really like that potential lineup, but what about 3pt shooting? Is Maggette a solid shooter from that range? I only thought of that because what happens when Bell and Barbosa have off nights shooting (which is possible).

Also doesn't solve our backup point guard problem.

No offense meant but that is one of the more terrible deals I've ever seen here. The first half anyways, the 2nd half just wouldn't happen.

Suns should make the following moves, I think its best fit considering their pick is 15th and who is available then.
Draft a player who can play SF/PF
Trade Barbosa for a 'Real Point guard'
Sign a SG/SF from FA - If not possible, see "Include in rotation"
Resign:
Giricek
Skinner (as backup Center)
Include in rotation:
Tucker - backup for Bell/Hill/Diaw
Strawberry - backup for Bell/Nash/Barbosa replacement
I think thats the most effiicent way to retain the Suns chemistry on court while improving athletism, perimeter defense, development of youth and rests for the 'old' back court.
