The other sticky's getting too long, so all the news etc round the league in here thanks chaps.

So...if it's Spurs - Lakers who do we cheer for? Lesser of two evils, so I'll go for Spurs so at least we can say the Champs beat us :D

Screw that. You root for the team you hate least in the heat of the moment.

I figure, I hate the Lakers and Spurs with every bone in my body. But, the entire Spurs package (their fans, their team, their cheap garbage, etc) has me so incensed that I can't bear to root for them in any circumstance, even against LA.

At least, while I hate LA's fans so much, their team is fun to watch and Kobe's really come around and impressed me, despite how much I hate HIM.

I would have to bite the bullet and root for the Lakers.

I cant support them because of the most lopsided trade on history...Gasol for Kwame are you serious?

I'd imagine Kurt and Tucker could have gotten us that.

Sarver says f that I rather have cash.

And for those who cares:

Reports: Donaghy bet on more than 100 games he worked
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/stor ... AHeadlines

Donaghy pleaded guilty last year to charges he conspired to engage in wire fraud and transmitted betting information through interstate commerce. He was alleged to have given a pair of gamblers inside information, including tips on which crews would officiate games and how the various officials and players interacted, and collected $5,000 if his picks were correct.

According to court filings, Donaghy bet on about 30 games each season starting in 2003 and 14 games during the 2006-2007 season, the New York Post reported.

We all knew for sure that Tim Donaghy provided numbers to the bookies, now this report should remove the doubt that he did bet on games he officiated.

Of course we still care. I care more about this crap than the suspensions, which everyone brings up as the reasons for our loss last year.

We got LITERALLY screwed out of a game, yet no one ever brings that up.

They won't say if he bet on any Suns games!

Interesting fact for Suns fans about Horry:

- Craig Sager said on tonight's game that Horry apologized to Nash for last year's cheap-shot and he WILL be at Nash's Charity Event later this Summer.

That's nice of Rob; but no matter what, it will never change the fact that the cheap-shot led to the controversial suspensions that probably cost Phoenix the series.

If Phoenix wins, the Spurs don't even win the Championship last year.

But David West looks healthy tonight; they can't use Horry's "cheap-shot" (arguable) in Game 6 as an excuse if they lose.

I actually kinda root for the Spurs this game...I know I know. But they beat us, so you kinda want them to win it all just to prove that see, they're this good. Plus, I'd love to see Bowen or Horry cheap shot Kobe who's been playing hurt, just so Kobe will go crazy and drop 60...that'd be a fun series :D

Doesn't matter about losing to the champions. IF you're the Suns, you lost, who cares who you lost to? There's no pride in losing to the champions, because you lost either way.

Screw the Spurs.

Since I can't ever bring myself to root "for" any one of them, I'll be rooting against SA harder than I'll be against LA

whilst i agree in go pistons, seriously though do you really believe they have no whiners? Detroit players are amongst the whiniest in the league

The way I see it is this;

We know about SA and LA. Ideally, I'd love Boston's TEAM to win the championship, but Boston fans in general (not just basketball) are so horrendously annoying and pompous, that Detroit is the only remaining alternative.

Go Pistons.
