Would the Suns and Bulls Do This?

Suns Get: Tyrus Thomas, Luol Deng (S&T), Sefalosha and the #1 pick
Bulss Get: Amare and Barbosa and maybe needed filler.
This would be a tempting move if I was a Suns Fan. You draft Derrick Rose at 1 and then get a big at 15. Nice added depth with Sefalosha, Diaw, Hill and Rose off the Bench.

tempting, but I think I would pass. Rose would be nice, but I think I rather go Beasley.
I still think Amares value is way to high to trade away. Hes the only peice I would not trade on this team.

Rose/Love (assuming of course he is there at 15)?

That would indeed be tempting, but Amare's proven while Rose isn't....
Nash/Rose/Strawberry
Bell/Sefolosha
Deng/Hill/Tucker
Diaw/TThomas
Shaq/Love
A lot of great youth on that team for the future as well:
Rose/Strawberry
Sefolosha
Deng/Tucker
Diaw/Thomas
Love
That's a really, really solid rotation. The key, of course, is how Boris performs. If he plays like 05/06(seriously...I rewatched a lot of games from that season over the past couple of days, and he played like an effing STAR) then that's actually a really attractive lineup.
If we WERE going to trade Amare, I think that would be one of the best offers we'd get.
If we decide that we don't want Rose and want Beasley instead, then we can trade down to the #2 with Miami to get another player too.

Here's the thing that bother's me with all of the Amare trades... we give up a proven PF and one of the leagues leading scorers for decent players.
If Amare gets traded, it's for another star player.
Amare >>> Thomas and Deng
Barbosa >> Sefolosha and #1
Hell, we wouldn't even trade Amare for KG like Minny wanted.
(and yes, I know that KG wanted to play next to Amare and we were only offering Marion... trust me I know... if only)

hmmm...
Stoudemire or a potential great point guard?
We've seen Chris Paul and Deron Williams just explode, and apparently, Rose is like a combination of both, big (6'4) point guard with all the athletism and skills in the world (Paul).
Today, Hornets wouldnt trade Chris Paul for Amare Stoudemire straight up.
Today, Deron Williams and a Millsap looks equal to an Amare Stoudemire swap.
Mind you, thats the general consensus from most fans, not just Suns fans.
But Apparently, to Suns fans, Amare Stoudemire is worth LeBron James these days.
did anyone see the same games and saw the same player I saw the last 5-6 years?
Stoudemire is a stud and all, he especially gears me up when he dunks on traffic on people's heads.
But, really? is he worth that much?
Considering the Suns will need to rebuild in 2 years, I would love to get an even younger stud/franchise player and maybe a couple more of young prospects. If it demands a Stoudemire, and the trade pieces are "good" enough, I'd consider it.
People here put Amare Stoudemire on the pedestal too much I think. Again heck of an athlete and scorer... but seriously?...
I mean a lot of other fans wouldnt trade Howard for Stoudemire straight up, they see Howard = Stoudemire + another decent player.
I saw Stoudemire as worth more a couple of seasons ago, but since the injury and the lack of progress in defense and IQ... I'd tend to agree with those people...

Ill assume you made a typo with the second comparison....
But I'll quote you just in case you're serious...

I was serious.
Past 1st Overall NBA Draft Picks
2007 - Greg Oden (injured)
2006 - Andrea Bargnani (injured)
2005 - Andrew Bogut (white)
2004 - Dwight Howard (Legit)
2003 - Lebron James (Legit)
2002 - Yao Ming (Legit, but injured)
2001 - Kwame Brown (awful)
2000 - Kenyon Martin (injured/awful)
1999 - Elton Brand (Legit, but injured)
1998 - Michael Olowokandi (#3 all-time NBA Draft bust)
Sure doesn't look surefire to me...
As far as I am concerned,
Barbosa is NBA proven, his salary is incredibly low for his production, he is low-drama and he is a nice guy.
When we talk about moving Barbosa... it is for other proven NBA players.
As far as Rose is concerned, I think he has great potential. Great potential doesn't win championships though. He played one year at Memphis which is in the Conference USA... Nothing, outside of his ability to bully smaller gaurds a la Baron Davis, gave me the impression that he is the next coming of Michael Jordon. Sorry.
Outside of my over-estimating Amare's value... I think you over-estimate the value of the 1st pick... or undervalue Barbosa, one of the two.

Thats just blind homerism to the bone.
Barbosa, NBA proven?
proven what?
- He is one of the quickest end to end players in the league.
- He is streaky shooter.
- He has good scoring skills
- He has terrible vision
- He cannot facilitate an offense
- Shot selection questionable
- Does not create plays
- Does not play adequate defense
- Is very timid, does not influence team mate's motivation
- Hogs the ball
- Isnt particularly basketball smart compared to the average player his size.
Then you bring up a list of No.1s to make an argument. Mainly selective No.1s too, some hasnt played NBA yet, but have been acclaimed everywhere else. Some are busts, some got injured and are not in there prime anymore...
How about listing lottery picks in the last 20 years, preferrably high draft picks and compare them to Barbosa and make a list who you rather have...
A No.1 pick, can net you a couple of lottery picks or a high draft pick plus another player..
again, you basically "used" the very very worst scenario for what a no.1 pick can be.....

Barbosa is better than the 1 pick and sefolosha???????
Re-think that statement.....

wow I can think of at least 3 guys in this year's draft that I would trade Barbosa straight up for. He IS proven, and I believe his ceiling is what we're seeing now, maybe Ben Gordon being the peak. He's never going to be what we really need - too small for a starting SG, too inept at ball handling for a starting PG
I'd almost move him straight up for Thabo

That trade is impossible.
Deng cannot be talked to until July 1 & cant be signed until mid-July at the earliest. That is long after the draft.
Also, Deng must agree to be traded to the Suns & that the Suns must meet his high salary demands.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat. I can understand wanting to keep Amare, because he's a legit 4...but Deng isn't exactly garbage like you're making it out to be. You're also overvaluing Barbosa. I have a better chance of scoring with every playboy model from 1990 to 2050 than we have to get the #1 for him.

You might have a chance with the ones from 1970-1989 though... lol.
The Bulls would never do anything like this anyway.

I think you can get the Lakers to trade Kobe for that package.

Wouldn't hesitate to do that deal, and like others have said, it's a rip-off for the Bulls. Is there any way to replace Deng with a lesser (but still quality) player and make it work under the CBA?

I would be tempted for sure on this deal. I think we would have to include #15.
I also don't see why the Bulls would want Barbosa. (Seems a bit redundant with Gordon).
How about....
Amare/Tucker
for
TT/Nocioni/Sefo and #1?
