NBA Finals: Lakers or Boston???

Post#1 » by Never Fear 33 Is Here » Sat May 31, 2008 6:17 pm

Well it is time for the NBA Finals. I guess most here would be rooting for the C's to get up and win?

Anyways, I just wanted to get a feel for who is the consensus vote for who wants who to win.

Personally I want L.A. to win. I hate both sides equally, but having said that my hate for Shaq is more. Yes Shaq, I hate Kobe but would love to see him have success and win a Championship without the help of Shaq much more than I would like to see KG or P Squared get a ring. I have much love for Ray Ray, but just can't bring myself to root for the C's one iota.

Call me crazy................many have, but that is the way I feel.

How are the rest of you rooting???

I am rooting for the Celtics. My hate for LA and moreso my hate for most of its fans is much greater. I was rooting for Detriot, but they just didn't have enough steam. I just didn't want Stern to get his wish of a Lakers Celtics final.
It is so sad how this league has become WWF. Once the Gasol trade happened, it was obvious what Stern wanted. Too bad he could not care about the fans of Seatle or Memphis.
I really don't like PJ Brown and Cassell hopping on the Celt train last min, but I would rather them win over LA.

Tough one - I really have hated the Lakers for a few years, and I grew up a Lakers fan. Kobe just was such a pr*ck - I jumped off the couch cheering when Raja took him down.

But I do really like the other guys on the team and Kobe has such talent I've found myself softening a bit.

The Celts - you got to feel good for Pierce and KG, after all these years on bad teams.

So I guess it will come down to somewhere during the series I'll decide who I'm pulling for. I'm honestly more interested in the draft and the head coach decision. This is the third year I've had not much interest in who wins. If PHX ain't in it, who gives a shirt.

Im going for the C's

Garnett and Pierce are 2 of my Fav players outside of the suns so hope they can knock off Kobe and the Lakers.

as someone has already mentioned i dont like the fact that cassel might get a ring though.

Cassel has already two rings...it won't make much of a difference.

And you can find all the reasons you want but I will never root for Kobe and the Fakers.

I want the C's to win, just so that all the LA fans stay away, but I think the lakers will be too strong for them, lakers in 5.

Lakers have much better chemistry together than the Celtics do. The Celtics can sometimes rely too much on Garnett or Pierce. I want Celtics to win, but Ray Allen is going to need to grow a sack by Thursday.

obviously i want the lakers to lose, but the script has already been written

the NBA is a freakin tv series with a script, actors, and all sorts, we all knew it would be lakers celtics from the start, its what the nba wanted

i believe the NBA wants the celtics to win, so lets see what happens

I hope the Celtics win. The Spurs got shafted in game 4 and the Lakers imo have overachieved. Plus the Laker fans would never stop bragging about it.

So go C's

I'm over the fans of most teams. As far as I'm concerned every team has "wanker" fans and it's not going to change.

I have based my decision on the fact that I hate certain players more than others and also the fact that I don't like it when teams try and go out and buy a team, ala when L.A. went out and got Malone and Payton that year but they lost.

I also believe the NBA wanted this series, but don't believe in all the conspiracies that they made it happen much like the WWE.

Ummmm no sh*t Grant Hill first, I have said that from day one and have never said otherwise. But I have no idea how you get that from that post. If it is due to the Shaq comments, then yeah I hate Shaq, I always have and always will. Just because he plays for the team I support does not mean that I am gonna forget that I don't like him. I hate players who play for Collingwood, why should I like someone just because of the team they play on. IMO that is being superficial.

The only reason I am going for the Lakers is because I hate them less than I hate the Celtics. It has nothing to do with what team I support.

suns!!!!!!

haha!

tough one. i hate players without heart and full of mouth (KG) but pierce was amazing....

i used to hate kobe but the guy has so much passion for basketball. i still remember when he went to my country and played basketball under the sun with kids, that was 1997 or 98, then just last year he did the same thing and you can see his passion to teach the kids....
