KJ7 Retires As Moderator

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Sun Jun 1, 2008 10:25 am

I would like to announce the retirement of a longtime moderator on this forum.

After a few years, KJ7 is retiring as a moderator due to time constraints in his non-cyber life.

He provided great leadership during his time as a moderator and KJ7's service is greatly appreciated by all of us at RealGM.

While tsherkin and TASTIC will carry on as the moderators of this forum, it will be weird not seeing KJ7's name up there on the moderator line but at least he will still be around when he can to post.

KJ7, On behalf of everyone at RealGM and all of the moderators, thank you for your service to us as a moderator.

One of the best and classiest poster in realgm. He was on top of things, and kept the forum running, and kept trolls in check, same with suns posters when they overstep on there post. Like him, time constraints have not allowed me to post on the forum as much. Good luck man, and see you around.

So we have lost ATTL and KJ7, man, that sucks, but understandable.

So who is next as mod in the forum? SDU I vote for! But we have to have KJ7 blessing I would think. So who is it going to be man?

A sad day as a fellow Suns mod saying goodbye to the guy who mentored me (as a Mod), giving me tips and insight as to how to act professionally as he always did.

KJ was always one to keep things in perspective and I'm sure bleeds purple and orange, regardless of whether he's a mod or a retired old timer :)

KJ's helped to shape the board for the past few years, and had to upkeep the place when we were going through the good and bad times. I hope you stay in touch mate and keep posting, and wish you the best in your future ventures.

Cheers

It is about bloody time. In your latter days you were always bringing the place down with your inactivity, leaving us to our own devices and having to deal with

Just kidding, as always, (I don't think I have ever said anything that either made sense, nor was serious on here. In fact I don't think in real life either. :o )

Best of luck with everything in the non cyber world and hope you do hang around. You are definitely worthy of the Cyber Ring of Honor.

If you ever make it to Adelaide be sure to hook up with SDU for a drink or two with the 3 of us. (Being me SDU and KPCB34)

PEACE!!!

Wow, I can barely remember the days before KJ7 became a mod. KJ served us well as one of the best mods on RealGM, and while we will miss his mad mod skills, I hope he'll still post on a regular basis.

Thanks for the kind words. I still hope to be around but I'm not kidding myself, I'll struggle to log the mins I used to on here which is why I put the wheels in motion to have someone as good as TASTIC on board and get some extra cover for him.

If you told me when I first logged on here that I would actually care about a sports forum and look forward to interacting with fellow Suns fans (and fans from other teams) I would have prolly told you to get your head read. But that's exactly what happened.

So when I had to tell myself that I wasn't giving the service to the forum that the great Suns fans deserved that was kind of a sad day for me.

Most of you prolly don't realise the kind of work Howard Mass puts into this website to keep it going but I'd like to send a massive thanks to him. He was always supportive of ideas I had and always dealt with things in such a professional and diplomatic manner even when others put him in a tough position. The fact that RGM is so well respected and runs so smoothly considering how many users we have is no coincidence. He and the other leadership crew really should take full credit.

I can't tell ya how much I've enjoyed my time on here as mod and I'll always be a Suns and RGM fan so hope to see you on here throughout next season.

Cheers.
