Bulls fan here.
Apparently, Vinny del Negro may be a finalist in the Bulls endless search for a coach?
What does the Suns board think of this guy ?

Umm. He is supposed to be a very smart guy and he does a more than decent job in the scouting department. It is hard to project how he will do as a coach. He isn't even the main assistant GM. Also he has only been in the front office for two years. Before that he was an announcer. I think most Suns fans expect him to become one of our assistant coaches to learn. He obviously would take the head coaching job if it was offered to him though.

Actually, if the article holds true...it seems to be a done deal.
Bulls fan here, just wondering if you guys have anything to say about him? any idea's on his coaching style or anything?

a bit hard to talking about his coaching style when he hasn't had any experience on the bench.

This is a very odd decision by the Bulls...it's a gigvantic gamble. Del Negro might be the smartest guy on the world but he has never coached...he hasn't even been an assistant...And as much as I don't really like Avery I think it's just ridiculous that nobody is hiring him.

We didnt get D'Antoni so the Bulls went for an Italian who knows the system & will work cheaper!!
The key is who will be the assistants

I'd expect the Bulls to load up the assistant bench with very experienced guys if they take Del Negro as their head coach.
Hell, if he isn't hired soon Avery might be assistant. He might be a better assistant anyway.

uhhhh, I guess he is good. He could be a good coach in the long run, and the bulls should be a good team for him to coach due to youth and the #1 pick.
But with no coaching experiance, well, its up in the air.

Vinny met Paxson at the pre-draft camp in Orlando & started talking to him.
It almost as if someone had heard that there was a job open and figured - "hey, what the heck, why not?"
Vinny has mentioned that the interview with Steve Kerr for the Phoenix job had prepared him for talking to Paxson. Apparently, he did a fabulous job of talking. He was well prepared & said the right things. Vinny said he has known Paxson for over 20 years - so he certainly knew what Paxson wanted to hear
