What do Suns fans think the Suns will do with their $8 million dollar trade exception that will expire July 19, 2008. Suns also have a $3 million exception from the James Jones trade that expires July 10, 2008. The exceptions can only be used to acquire a single player (draft picks and cash can be included as well) and the exceptions can't be combined to acquire a larger salaried player.

A couple years ago Pacers used an $8 million trade exception to do a sign and trade with Hawks that netted the Pacers Al Harrington. There must be some situation Suns fans would like management to do to improve the Suns.

There's LOTS we'd like to do, but Sarver won't spend any more than he really has to

Of course there is. But we know that our owner won't take on more salary regardless of how much it helps the team on the court. The only way the team takes on more salary is for a guy who would sell enough jerseys to offset the extra luxury tax.

I would love to see them use that TE for a starting SG or SF. But, that won't happen. Sarver is a business man, and saved money on KT's contract. He also will take that money and not use it on any players. The suns will bring in 2-3 rookies this off-season, and maybe a very cheap vet for the LLE. MLE won't be used either.
Plus, we have Shaq's huge contract, Amares contract is going up, Nash's contract is big too. So is Diaw's. suns can't afford an 8 million dollar contract.

I propose a new solution: all members of the Suns board form a group and attempt a hostile takeover for ownership of the Suns.

If that honestly happened it'd be the greatest thing in the world.. but it'd be 2 years to late.

You'd think with Nash and Shaq in their final years the owner would realize it might be now or never.
That's a huge asset to have.
Mike Miller, Antonio McDyess... at least a dozen other players make less than $8 million and could be a great addition to a championship run.
