Suns draft lopez because Portland stole Rush :@
Anyone unhappy with the Blazers? Or do you guys think what I think?
I think that portland selected him to trade him to us for Barbosa with the other assests (webster+____). Anyone up for that? I sure am.

Nash/Strawberry/FA(Duhon)
Bell/Rush/Tucker
Webster/Hill/Rush
Stoudemire/Skinner/Lopez
Shaq/Lopez

Just announced on ESPN, what the hell is Indiana thinking? Bayless is better than Rush, and Diogu (imo) is better than Jack.

Suns are probably happy about Lopez, they had him ahead of Rush and Randolph who went 13 and 14.

All things considered, this can't be THAT terrible a pick....

He's supposed to bring energy and defense--two things we lack.....

I guess we will have to wait and see...

I want to see how he defends the pick and roll...I dont think he has the lateral footspeed to follow that guard/switch up

He needs to work on ONE part of the offense, like a baby hook or the pick and roll

He reminds me of a Foster/Noah combo, so Suns wanted Noah bad last season... not as surprising anymore.

I just hope they find their back up pg somewhere...

I think we're targetting Lee or CDR with that 2nd rounder, or even Chalmers if he falls somehow

If Lopez and Rush were both gone at 15, Batum was the guy they like. According to Gambo and Ash.

Finally after almost 3 years the JJ trade is finally done.

^ turned out a steal for the hawks. We get a backup center at best with a sf that cant play in a normal offense for a stud SG that can take over a game at any particular time and shoots lights out. Hmm.. looks like a great deal lets do it! :@
anyways, whats done is done. I hope we get rid of Diaw's extraterrestrial contract and the soft barbosa.
only possible destinations for him now seem LAC and NY because POR got what they needed. No need for barbosa when you get bayless.. cant believe bayless dropped so far.

Not a splashy pick but I think the guy can play real well a real hustle guy. I think he will lead the team in block shots and make up on hustle plays for Amare who really needs to step up his game "brain wise" play smarter offensively and defensively and stay out of foul trouble. Amare could possibley be the best player in the game if he would play smart.

Back to Robin Lopez he is a high energy guy that the Suns have been missing with blocked shots and rebounds he can defend Duncan better then Shaq or Amare and will be a great replacement once Shaq leaves for His Rap Video Career.

He's a high-energy guy that won't dominate, but rebound and block shots. Not a bad pick for you to be honest.

I like the pick for the Suns. I think he is going to be a great fit for this team. Robin is the type of big man I know the Hawks could use. One because he can play C and the other it would allow Horford to play PF again.

The guy can't rebound defensively real well. I don't care for offensive rebounds, I want to know that we have someone down low who can pull in opponents' misses and Robin can't do that consistently. He was a good offensive rebounder and that's it. He ranked 693 in the nation in rebounding. Though, he did not play massive minutes, his rebounding numbers still weren't that impressive defensively. At least he can be a presence in the middle and possibly make players think twice about driving into the lane for an easy lay up when Shaq is sitting down, and even with Shaq in there, it isn't that hard if you can play the pick'n'roll well.

Whatever, Rush, and Randolph were gone and those are the only two other players who the Suns cared to draft, they were gone, so at least we got something out of it, and we won't have to think "What if .. we had Rush/Randolph instead of Lopez" since those two were off the board anyways. Lopez > Straight cash.

I completely agree with everything you say, but my question is could we have traded down and draffted CDR? For example, traded 15 to Seattle for 24 (ARRRGH!) and 32. Drafted CDR @ 24 and Devon Hardin at 32. I believe we need DEFENSIVE rebounding more than anything, especially in the second lineup. Robin doesn't neccesarily provide that, even with that size. Since when does a guy that avgd 6 rebounds in college count as a "rebounder" in the NBA? Unless he picks up his defensive rebounding and gets a couple go to moves on the offensive end, this guy has all the potential to be a bust. I prefer 2nd round bigs that are happy to be in the NBA like Leon Powe and work hard to get their PT. Harin fits that. Plus we couldve netted ourselfs CDR.. better IMO. But gotta live with what you got. Not too bad i guess, considering we couldve had to just take 3million
