My top picks would be

DWest
Pietrus
Skinner

And wait, JJ is a PF/C???

The likely scenario is we end up with Lue/AJ and Skinner.

I'd like to see GG back for the min - but only the min, as well has have a look at Mo Evans - very athletic, decent 3 point shooter and not a bad defender

He is a SF/PF but he is considered more a PF for the Suns than a SF that's why I put him in that group. I like your selections, but my thinking when I put my favorites list together was as a vet minimum selections rather than using any part of the MLE.

My list would be:
Delonte West
Tony Allen
Jarvis Hayes
Quinton Ross
James Jones
Brian Skinner

Obviously not all of them, but Delonte would be a great backup PG at a great price, and Jarvis Hayes was really good for Detroit this year when he got PT. I doubt we'll get Junior back, but I'd love to have him, and I think Brian Skinner definitely needs to be resigned. He was really important to our success in the first half of the year, and then D'Antoni decided we didn't need him after we got Shaq

PG/SG:
Tony Allen
Jason Williams

SF:
Mickael Pietrus
Devin Brown
Matt Barnes

PF/C:
Skinner
Garrity
Jones

The 3 likely guys id like to sign are Allen, Barnes, and Jones. Im sure we're getting one of Skinner or Marks soooo.

Forward - Ross
Center - Skinner

I also like Elson's game, he's got length and energy and can run the floor well. I think Elson next to Stoudemire would be a very nice option to have.

I know Ross would really shine in a Suns uniform.

Pietrus is going to get close to the MLE, and Cleveland will resign Delonte. But those would be my top 2

I'd be pacified with Lue/Giricek/Skinner

Nash/Lue/DJ
Bell/Barbs/Tucker
Hill/Diaw/Giricek
Amare/Skinner
Shaq/Lopez

I think Skinner will be back, he was on that 04 Bucks squad that Porter coached, and he was their starter for 54 games....eek!

Skinner
Ross
Lue

All for the min, I'd be happy as a pig in crap

PG: Anthony Carter - I like how he played in Denver last year.
SG/SF: Bonzi Wells, James Jones.
PF - Skinner - Insurance guy.
C - Mourning - He is old but I think good enough to guard star PF/C in the West. Its hard to deny the warrior's heart in him. Good locker room guy too and can teach Robin & Amare on how to intimidate post players on defensive end.

James Jones is a PF?  :o He hardly ever played PF on the suns team. Plus, that was with MD, and he is gone, but marion played more pf. The guy is a sf, hands down. Funny man.

I still can't get over how you said JR is more of a PF for the suns than a SF. Anyways, to my post now.

Ok, I think you can put in Ricky Davis as a G/F. KT in the PF/C group too. Davis is a head case, but has talent when hes head is in the game. I think Zo is an interesting option, but a big risk due to health. I would take him, but I would rather have skinner. First option to last is how I did it. At the PG and big man spots, I would use the vets min, and part of the MLE for the first 4 guys at the SF position.

PG – Lue, A Johnson

SF – Pietrus, Barnes, Davis, JR, Nachbar, Hayes, Finley, Barry

F/C – Skinner, KT, Zo

But it was a good post jlove_26. You brought up a lot of names that could come here that are not that bad of players. Some good, some ok. Point is, since the suns are strapped, and since the FA market is not that great, they have a chance to get some guys on the cheap for a 2 years or so. That is good for their salary situation.

We all know they are sitting back and letting the FA play itself out and then go and get the necessary guys for their team. However, I really think the suns need to use part of the MLE on the SF position because of how cheap hill has come, and his injury past. We need a good player at that position their I think.

Nash/Lue/DJ
Bell/Barbs/Tuck
Hill/Diaw/ (vet)
Amare/Diaw/ Skinner
Shaq/RLop/Skinner

Now that I look at this team, if Porter decides to play Diaw at the SF more, then we really do not need to use the MLE on a SF. So then we need a guy that can play D, and shot the 3. So maybe Pietrus is out of the question. JR might be our guy then.

But if the suns are looking at trading barbs or Diaw, then maybe it would be wise to get the bpa, and use part of the MLE.

I am not a big fan of any of the PG's that are available in FA. I would rather roll the dice with DJ in spots, and bring Hill off the bench at the 3; letting him run the offense as a point forward ala Scottie Pippen style. And when I say I don't like anyone, I mean anyone that the Suns' have a legitimate chance of getting. Delonte would be my only choice of whose available, but I think he will be back in Cleveland.

Matt Barnes is someone I wished would have come here last off season and I am hoping he ends up here this year. I like Pietrus, but I think he will demand more money then we are willing to spend. GG won't be back, he priced himself out of the Suns' pocket book with his play last season.

Najera would be first choice at PF, but I think he will get close to the full MLE, and I don't think we will be spending that on him. I wouldn't mind Croshere coming here and punching a few guys in the mouth, but if that is the way we are going to go, I would rather keep Skinner.

I am still holding out for a trade to bring us someone on the wing. Please inspire Pritchard to send us Martell Webster and a PG for Barbs and Tucker.

As in Mourning? The guy who destroyed his knee last season and later retracted his "Im retiring" announcement after a gag order from Miami in case they wanted to use him in filler for a trade?

Fail.
