These players are also either on their way up or down in careers, but the great part about this tier III is that many of these players really help their teams grind out wins by coming in during specialty times of the game.

Here is the rankings players were taken from. not shown is minutes played.

Here is the ranking of the TIER III this happens to mix in 10 minute players also but in general this is the 14- 23minute players

- Amare lands on first team all impact as the fifth overall best player to make the most impact when he enters a game.

- Steve Nash contrary to belief is still better than alot of the point guards people are ready to anoint. Steve landed on the All-Impact third team.

Grant Hill-
It was very surprising to see Grant Hill on third team of second tier players.

Leandro Barbosa-
Also Leandro proved he could start on many teams across the NBA by landing himself on the second team of the second tier players.

Shawn Marion was on two different teams so his impact rating was split.
10.83 for Phoenix and 6.19 for Miami = 17.07 - 2.0 = 15.07 which still means he is an elite NBA Player. Adding him and D. Wade to Mike Beasley should make Miami and instant playoff team.

Matt Barnes = 5.83 for Tier III players. which placed him behind about 20 addtional Tier III players which included
TJ Ford
Reggie Evans
JR Smith
Ime Udoka
Bonzi Wells(Hou)
Ronny Turiaf
Andrea Bargnani
Jarvis Hayes
Thaddeus Young
Maurice Evans
Vladimir Radmanovic
Radoslac Nesterovic
Sasha Vujacic
Kelenna Azubuike
Rodney Stuckey
Hakim Warrick
Matt Harpring
Leon Powe
Joakim Noah
Eduardo Najera
Nazr Mohammed
Kenyon Dooling
---Matt Barnes--
Ty Thomas
Craig Smith
Carl Landry
Jacque Vaughn
Kyle Korver(Uth)

This kinda gives you the idea that Matt plays both sides of the court alot better than most thought.

How is BARGNANI and Hayes more impacting than BARNES?!

Andrea Bargnani TOR 6.87
Jarvis Hayes DET 6.83

Matt Barnes GSW 5.83

This is very close call between Andre and Matt because the two of them have very similiar impacts on the court.
Andrea slightly is a better scorer also (also in range), ft shooter, and played more minutes and games. With all of that being said Andrea actually made strides to being a better man up defender than the way the season reflected. While most are ready to throw the towel in on Andrea as being another number overall bust. He would be fine for his development if not taken in the top 10. Which is not his fault.

Matt actually inch for inch is far more active rebounding, steals, and blocks than Andrea. Matt actually sees the floor better than Andrea even though he is much shorter and consider a less talented player. Maybe the part that Matt suffers most from is the time that he is in during the game. While Andrea faces the toughest opponents during crunch time, Matts numbers are against the second/third tier players. *Usually end of first qtr, beginning of second - End of third, beginning of 4th.

What a great value however!

Jarvis Hayes is returning more to the form of a defensive assasin. His numbers came on the defensive side, and very little from the offensive side.

wouldnt you add marions numbers and divide to find his average impact instead of add them together? just a question... same thing with gasol and kidd and a few others. if not could you exxplain why?????

Shawn Marion
Raw data:
Phx - 24.99 - 10.9 -47games
Mia - 19.75 - 6.23 - 15games
===========================
He only played 62 games which means he was on the pace for 13.91 with Phoenix which wouldve placed him right even with Yao Mings impact in a shortened season for him

Marion proved he is a good player even out of Phoenix system but wasnt near as effective.
Next season with a healthy Wade and Beasley he may be even more missed in Phoenix.

Just a note: Shaq was on pace for a 10.45 season in comparisons to Marions 13.91. However, the Suns as a team became a far better rebounding team with Shaq. Strange cause Marion grabbed more than SHaq.

Shaq occupies more space and allows others to be more effective it is not strange at all.
