Should PHX target Smush Parker?
Last I heard of this guy he was with the Clipps. I don't believe he's under contract given the fact that the Clipps already have 3 other PGs signed for next year. So I am assuming he's a FA agent of some type. I know he can be a cancer and all, but with a new team, coach, attitude, and a guaranteed 15-20 minutes per game everything is possible. Not to mention he might take a minimum deal just to stay in the league. He's still young at 27 years old and has playoff experience. At this point I'm looking to get younger at the back up PG position. I can't imagine seeing Damon Stoudemire nor Sam Cassel be the back up PG that wold just about kill my aspirations for this team next year. If we can get Smush for cheap, I would take him. What do you all think about Smush?, given the scenerio that Dragic doesn't play for us in the up-coming season.

I don't think so...
Isn't Smush what Strawberry is? Please no more redundant or consistent parts.
I'd rather see the Suns sign Desmon Farmer and/or Kirk Snyder.
I rather Grant Hill be the back up point guard from the small forward position.
Diaw or Lopez backing up Shaq depending on a match up.

Smush has already had a run in Phoenix, I doubt he'll be back anytime soon.

Funny that you mentioned Desmon Farmer. I actually had the opportunity to see Desmon play in the D-league. We have a team down here called the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Desmon can put the ball in the hole, both times I saw him play he went for 30+. Yeah I wouldn't mind him and his 26 yrs of age.

SMUSH PARKER?!
He, seriously, might be the worst player in the NBA.

It could be worse, he could've said Kevin Ollie, Lindsey Hunter or Marcus Williams.

I guess he's the youngest guy available at this point. I just don't see our back up PG being nearly 40 years old. Stoudemire, Cassell, Hunter, Ollie? The average age on these guys is 36! We need people to compete with the Pauls, Parkers, DWilliams of this league.

Re: Should PHX target Smush Parker?
Suns are better off picking up Jameson Curry who was waived by the Bulls like a week ago, he's younger, a pure pg and his salary is less than the vets minimum.

Yeah I say no to Smush.
What's the deal with Damon Stoudemire, he still an FA?

I watched D-league games on the web. I checked out several Vipers games to see what he'd do.
Farmer can flat out play! A natural scorer. A defender also. IMO he's somewhere between Ginobili and Maggette.
Entering into his prime years right now!
Only a risk cause he has no name brand recognition. He'd help this team.
Lute Olsen is familiar with his work.

Re: Should PHX target Smush Parker?
...but if he's in his prime years and he has only cracked a roster enough to play 32 minutes, isn't that a bad thing?
Almost every DLeague player has had some 30 point games, its a joke. If Farmer is halfway between Maggette and Ginobli, Alando Tucker should be halfway between Joe Johnson and Kobe based on his DLeague performances.
If what was posted elsewhere about Dragic not coming over is true, we need Livingston plus a player who can put in minutes now. Marbury would be ideal but who knows the status on him; we can't wait around for a player yet again and miss all other opportunities. I HATE the idea of Cassell or Stoudamire, but the only other way to get a PG that can actually play minutes and start a few is through a trade. I can't believe I'm finally half-suggesting one of those two washed up bozos.
