What do you think about them? Do you like the Suns uniforms the way they are or do you think they should change them?

I'd like them to dust off the old ones from the 70s with the Western-gothic style lettering, from the van Arsdale days.
The current ones are OK but the grey material is kind of goofy, like someone repaired them with the legs off old sweatpants. I really dig the black summer league ones, if they used the three letter PHX logo. Shaq looks good in black - it's very slimming ...

i would like a predimonantly black uniform to replace the purple

black with some orange flames, sweet!

if i remember correctly, only 8 teams are allowed to have throwbacks each year and they must wear the throwbacks between 8 and 15 times. why am i saying this? because i believe that this year is our year for throwbacks! which one should we wear? I hope we get the one we took to the finals with barkley majerle etc

I'm hoping for the '90's black alternates as our throwbacks. That would be amazing. Those are my favorite jerseys of all time. And I agree with you SDU, I'm pretty sure we're getting throwbacks this year.

I want to lose the orange moreso than the purple, b/c I've felt that purple is a large part of our history. If we could replace the orange jerseys with black jerseys, that would be so sick.

Yeah Suns got a new coach, new players, now all we need are some new uniforms

Every team DOES seem to be switching to WNBA-like uniforms.. So it wouldnt surprise me if ours did end up looking like the sample pic that was posted earlier.

Never been a huge fan of our purple away uniform. I like our orange alternate uniform though. Our home jerseys looks nice too. Never like the purple

I disagree with the losing of the Orange. I really like the orange Alt jersey. However, the black jersey created here is on point.

I remember a post last year on another forum on the internet talking about the teams that are wearing throwbacks in the upcoming season, 08-09, and the Suns are suppose to be wearing the Barkley era jersey. They're also suppose to be on sale on eastbay soon.

I like the Orange and White Jerseys, but the Purple and Grey needs to go.

But yeah, black/orange/purple would work, maybe outline the name in purple with orange letters. Dig the flames idea. maybe an update of the old Suns logo from the KJ/Thunder Dan days

I love the old jerseys like JohnVancouver said. I like the PHX on them, but am not a big fan of how the numbers and letters look. Too fat and bulky.

i like all our jerseys except the away purple/grey one

Just in case you guys are wondering...if any color goes, it'll be the purple. Purple was Jerry Colangelo's color (see the D-Backs as well)...and if they get rid of anything, it'll be the purple according to my connections. You notice they wore the Orange ALTs last year more than before...there's a reason for that.

we heard that last year too that purple was looking like the odd colour out and that certain things had changed to possibly open up to a "purpleless future"

DB, any idea if they will wear retro's this year or when a uniform change will take place? They have to apply for the change I think two years in advance so it would be interesting to know if one has been filed.
