Another Trade Idea

Post#1 » by ecuhus1981 » Tue Aug 26, 2008 1:03 am

Hey all. It's that time again, ecuhus1981 has a trade link to share. This is four-way, and I think the results are quite interesting and desirable for all.

GSW-PHX-MEM-NJN

I'm interested in feedback, so please respond in that thread, not this one. Thank you.

Um, Stro is not in our plans, present or future. As for Sean, I like him alot too, but the direction our organization is going indicates that he'd be better off elsewhere. And, we've been dangling all summer on the trade market. If you're suggesting that our defense will go to pot if we move them, I disagree. We will have a longer frontcourt with more capable defense at the SF.

We have one PG and one combo guard on our roster. Why do you think that adding Lowry is overkill? Almost every NBA team runs with at least 3 PGs. Personally, I think Lowry would outplay Dooling for PG minutes, and their production last year sides with me.

I'm glad to see another Nets fan here, but do we have any PHX input?

I would be happy with this trade. I would shed a tear about losing Barbosa AND sending him to Memphis all in the same trade, but Phoenix does improve.

This definately toughens up our roster and having Harrington come off our bench is a nice prospect. Kind of a GSW reunion. Suddenly PHX doesn't look like a team full of nice-guy pushovers. Barnes, Jackson, Harrington and O'Neal are all guys I wouldn't want to mess with. I would like our teams ability to get under opponent's collective skins.

I actually don't think it is that bad a trade, but I don't like the idea of giving up another 1st rounder. We already don't have one for like the next 3 years.
