Most definitely. Sac-town on the other hand would not.

Sign me up. Salmons can play the 1-2-3 easily, and Garcia has the potential to be Bell 2.0

As rsavaj said though, SAC would pass

Sacramento says no. Phoenix would take it.

Not a fair trade.

...this coming from the guy who proposed STAT for Lebron. Sorry, I just find that slightly ironic :-?

LOL! This is a huge 2 for 1 trade for the Suns.

Salmons and Garcia would be quality bench players on any playoff team.

I'd do this trade in a heartbeat.

Also giving up bench players....so basically it is Barbs for two people that could actually crack the rotation. Sign me up

maybe Tucker for Garcia straight up, but otherwise no. I don't want Salmons here after he dissed us 2 years ago.

^ Tucker's value aint that high to lure Sacramento for a direct swap.

On the original trade their is a bit of problem even if Sacramento agrees to the trade. Garcia is an expiring and would need an extension next year. Unless we can trade Diaw for an expiring we wont be able to resign garcia for obvious reasons. Next year we have three guys for extension: Barnes, Garcia and Hill (hopely he still play)

I like it for the Suns. But it is bad for the Kings.

kingsfan10, thought you'd be a mod by now chief :)

Whats the deal with Garcia - is he available for trade? What does the team see with him long term?

Heh, thanks for the thought. But I'm not a mod...yet...:D (Just kidding)

But yeah, about Garcia. Well, his contract will be up for an extension next year. So, he is a free agent next year. I would assume that the Kings would like him be part of the future with Martin and etc..I can see the Kings offering Garcia the full MLE. Or a bit more. Which is totally fine IMO.

Garcia is a great player to have...Especially for contenders. (He would look nice under the Suns :D) He is a great six man. I could say he can be in contention for the six man award every year if he keeps improving at this rate. He is a good shooter, very clutch, and a polish offensive player. And as well as a good standout defender. Like I said in the Kings board, my initial prediction was wrong about Garcia. I truly thought he will be a Prince-caliber player. It doesn't means he is bad but he had the tools to do so. But I can see him being the James Posey/Stephen Jackson type of player that comes from the bench. Again, he would look good on a contender...Well, who knows he can be a polished Raja Bell, if the Suns trying to make a run for him next year... :D

EDIT: Most likely we will have Salmons start at the SF position. And Garcia being the six man for the Kings. I'm just going to copy my post from the Kings board: "Well, it doesn't means Garcia's production will decline but I can say his production will increase next year due to the trade of Artest...Both Salmons/Garcia will have the most minutes ever before with the Kings..."

All in all, we have a good set of guards/forwards IMO. Kevin Martin, Francisco Garcia, John Salmons, Donte Greene, and to some extent Quincy Douby...I'm pretty sure the Kings will try to sign him asap next offseason. If not, I can see several contenders throwing the MLE at Garcia...

No to mention he dropped 30 on us TWICE last season I think

I can see the Spurs tagetting this guy as Bowen's replacement...or he'd look nice next to Kobe in LAL

We obviously do that, while Sacramento tells us to gtfo. Just think, we are DIVISION rivals, not even just conference. Not every team's officials like giving away great players for a bag of potato chips, although Barbosa does have a lot of value.
