KJ is mayor of the city of Sacramento. I guess he won in a landslide, which is great. I hope he does not get injured as much in government as he did towards the end of his career.

Congrats KJ.

I know he's a Democrat, but I wonder about his policies. I'm a Conservative, but I'd hope he's not too radically left, otherwise I won't be able to support him one bit.

In a landslide really I thought he wasn't suppose to win. Good for him though. I've listened to one of his speaches on-line and he seems like he'll do a good job.

Somewhat inevitable, there are not a lot of career options outside of politics, where you can get busted for statutory rape; pay the parents off not to press charges; and still find a job.

Props to our society for never holding athletes, celebrities or the wealthy accountable for their actions. Also, he may very well be a slumlord in SacTown as well (I am not sure if that is a substantial claim or not).

He was a great point guard, but his character has far too many cracks in its surface for him to get elected to public office. It is also points to how poor a job the incumbent Mayor was doing that someone with so many vulnerabilities beat her so badly.

Despite his past transgressions, I hope he does a great job as Mayor. And more importantly, I hope I never hear another R.Kelly-esque claim or rumor about him swirling about.
