Hello Suns fans,

I have followed the Suns since my wee childhood days - when KJ was my hero and the rest of my friends were all Bulls fans (no Toronto team back then).

I am finally making it down to see a Suns game in Dec against the Jazz, and need help with regards as to where to stay. We are also coming down for a Coyotes and Leafs game, but hte highlight for me will be the Suns game on teh Saturday.

We are looking at hotels but am finding it confusing as to where the best are is to stay. We will have a car, but would prefer to either be able to wlak or take public transportation (for after game celebrations!) Any suggestions?

Also, any thoughts on what to do on our off times (we will be getting a car to explore) - Looking to fill a Friday Day and Night, and Saturday day before the Suns game. Thoughts on restaurants, bars, etc also welcome!

Hey mate - i've never been to Phoenix myself but a bunch of us international suns fans are doing a big trip in January/ February following the suns around on their eastern road trip (Toronto to Atlanta, back to DC) before flying to Phoenix for a week to see Spurs, Bulls and Kings games.

We've done a bit of research into accommodation etc and some of our options are as follows:

If you want cheap as chips, dorm room accommodation then there's the phoenix hostel. $20 per night. Have heard some pretty average reviews about it, and I think it's probably a pretty long walk from the arena, so if you have a bit of extra cash I would probably avoid this one. I think the dorm room houses 10.

Rooms at the Holiday inn just a few blocks from the arena is solid, if you have 3-5 people to split it with. I think early bird internet deals are just under $200/night, so if you have 4 it will set you back $50/night. More expensive than the dorm, but it's more secure, much closer to the Arena (walking distance) and free buffet breakfast as well.

Lastly, one of the other members of the group (SDU) is looking into Best Western as he says they have some pretty good offers as well. So it might be worthwhile going to their site and having a look.

Hope that helps :)
