i am not sure about the 10 game suspension.

as i look back at replay's and all from last night i dont see anything. i think it was just a stupid tick on Alstons part.. if the ref was right there and didnt call it then too bad and it clearly had happened to matt and steve earlier in the game... so chill out you didnt get one call go your way and you had to start a scuffle? its just stupid i assume if the NBA is going to suspend alston they would do the same for matt and i dont want that to happen. it was just stupid, we lost the game in horrible fashion and all so yeah not worth it at all! bring on the kings and hopefully the bad taste in our mouths will be gone by tomorrow

Some great names in that old fight. You could see from way back then the possibility of an ugly incident happening like fight night at the palace a few years ago. The NBA is doing a fairly good job of preventing things like this happening again.

The suspensions are substantial nowadays.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Alston doesn't deserve any suspension, that was ALL Barnes

In regard to the old game...think we woulda got spanked, Barkley + West vs Oakley and Mason woulda been NOICE haha

Least we won THAT game

^^Alston took 2 swings at Nash, so I think he should be punished as well...but Barnes is clearly the worst party here.

no suspensions at all, imo.
when you wanna suspend one of them, than you gotta choose matt. take the good part of it, we get together as a team - and you win this fight with shaq daddy on youre side. haha. t-mac will never dominate a shaq team again.

Props to the great one

It shows how soft the nba and its fans have become over time. This is a thing I miss about the old nba. Guys would actually fight, or at least swing at each other. Suspensions were not that big either.

It looks like we have a bunch of David Stern fans now.

The thing I took from the fight is that we at least have some type of toughness on this team. Guys that will stand up and not run away like Diaw and barbosa do. Barnes is a guy that wont take crap, and shaq is a guy you still do not want to mess with. We need toughness on this team.

It clearly show Rafer Alston threw a punch towards Matt Barnes that almost conneted with Thunder Dan. I love that way everyone was trying to avoid Shaq and where looking to fight someone beside him. Also how TMAC got pushed to the grew like a twig. I'm glad that we finally have someone who is not going to be pushed around. Do I agree with what Barned did? NO, but I'm glad that we finally have some nastyniess in our lineup.

Shaq looked real fluid last night agaisnt Yao but then again my gradma who is 77 years old looks quicker than Yao. I agree with eastsidecrossover, we need some toughness and we finally have it with Barnes, Bell and Shaq.

Sucks that we got blasted but I'm starting to see some progress in our bench, especially Dragic. The next game is going to tell us what type of team we have. They are either going to put a beating on the Kings which is going to show a killer instict or we are going to coast and show that we are not ready to win a title.

GO SUNS!!

Exactly how I feel about our team. We used be be the team that everyone abused because we were so soft and so small, our enforcer was Raja 6'5' Bell. Amare, Barbs and Diaw are all soft as bread, now that we have some toughness people would think twice before trying to Horry Nash again.

Barnes: "You've always got to watch out for your team, especially for your star point guard . . . "

Gotta love that.

I've always hated Greg Anthony. He has always been a Suns basher doing his so called "analyzing" on ESPN. Big cheap shot on KJ. God I miss KJ. It was great to listen to him on the broadcast last night. In my opinion, he played with one of the biggest hearts. Much like Theo Fleury in hockey.
