Get Marbury

Post#1 » by NapoleonII » Thu Dec 11, 2008 3:25 am

Kerr is obviously shaking things up to better position ourselves against the West. Well, we now have the weakest bench of any playoff team.

Get Marbury. He can still average 12/7 in 20-25 mins. Dragic cannot.

Seriously....why not???

Lol. It's like 2010 is the Mayan Armageddon, at least it is for Kerr. He's completely turned this franchise inside out.

Oh, not the amount of flaming I thought I'd see on this thread, but I completely agree with the OP, except that we should SIGN him instead of TRADE for him =] like RSAVAJ said, that will be our depth chart, and frankly, no team in the NBA can beat us (except I'd think we'd play Dudley over Amundson at the 4).

Marbury's fate is supposed to be decided by friday, and the Suns have to sign another player by friday, so you never know.

I thought Marbury's fate was suppose to be decided like last Monday, what's up with that? Didn't somebody say they waive Marbury till next year so it doesn't show up as a loss on Knicks 'yearly financial report or something?

Ya know what? The more that I think about it, the more I think it would actually be a very good idea to pick up Marbury as a free agent. IF, IF...He is willing to backup Nash and maybe even start some games when Nash wants to rest or maybe miss a few games like Shaq. To rest up ya know. He has a good shot, good D, and can play really well. He just needs to get his head out of his arse and play ball. He has what it takes...Just needs some good people around him. I think the fans ultimately will be happy if we get him again.

Marubury would be an excellent player if we could get him. He's still a very good PG but i have to question his attitude towards basketball. If he's just about the money, I doubt we would be able to offer more than a vet min. If he's going to play because he wants to win, then there are a few better contenders than us.

One thing we should never do is trade for him, because whatever trade we come up with, we'll likely be the loser out of the deal.
