Hey guys, I posted a thread in your forum a few days back and even though 231 people have seen it, I have just received two replies... that's crazy!!! don't you care about your team? don't you like to discuss things happening or possibilities with your team? are you all free-readers who don't even post or are registered as GMers???? Well I am going to post it again and hopefully more than two people reply to it this time:
.... and thanks to piti and scootfu602 for replying to the previous thread:
Have you thought about trading Nash???
Magic fan here.... hey guys, I am watching your game against LA and it comes to my mind it is NOW the time to trade Nash and start rebuilding your team. Nash would be very useful to a lot of teams and you could get some value in return. IMO he is on the decline and is not the best PG for coach Porter's system.
Please do not take this as if I am trolling the forum or bashing Steve, but it certainly looks like he is not anymore the Nash from a few years back. JRich is a great addition for your team and if you can get good and young players in return and build the team around Amare you will be a very dangerous team for years to come. I know trading Nash leaves you almost naked in the PG position but maybe you could get a decent PG in return and/or a good draft pick for next year or the year after and start strengthening that position. So, having this said, how about:
PHX trades:
1)Nash to CHI for Kirk Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas (I don't know how that would work out in Chicago having Rose and Nash together but I am just looking at possibilities)
2)Nash to DAL for Josh Howard, Brandon Bass and JJ Barea (similarly I don't think this will go down because of Kidd + Nash wouldn't work out but...)
3)Nash to DET for Rip Hamilton and Rodney Stuckey (this looks good for the Pistons because they are all veterans in that team and need to win now, and looks good for you also because you get a pretty solid backourt in Rip and Stuckey, and Stuckey/Rip/JRich/Amare/Shaq would be pretty scary)
4)Nash and Alando Tucker to POR for Steve Blake, Jerryd Bayless, Travis Outlaw and Channing Frye
5)Nash and Grant Hill to SAC for Brad Miller and Francisco Garcia
6)Nash to IND for Jarret Jack, Marquis Daniels and Roy Hibbert
7)Nash to MIN for Randy Foye, Ryan Gomes and Brian Cardinal (Foye and Cardinal contracts expire in 2010, so you could use that cap space to go after one of the big FA that will be available that summer, while Gomes is a young promising SF who could be serviceable for coach Porter filling in Amundson's and what once were Diaw's minutes)
... what do you all think???? and if you do not like the trades, have you thought about trading Nash at all? His value is decreasing, so you better use him as a trade bait and start rebuilding. Besides, he just has one more year left in his contract so it is either this year or the next and IMO it will be better sooner rather than later.
