Bell and Diaw to New York for Eddie Curry?

Post#1 » by Suns_fan_2007 » Tue Dec 16, 2008 6:08 pm

Oh my, how the basketball world spins...

Bell and Diaw to New York, in a trade for Eddie Curry & ????

Should we just call D'Antoni and ask what trades he's willing to make to get all his old Suns players back?

That'd be a horrible deal for the Cats, Curry's a useless piece of flabby trash and his contract isn't expiring... Imagine if we traded them to the Knicks for Curry instead of Rich!

Unless they're planning on tanking for Rubio.

Massive steal for NYK if that's true. MASSIVE steal.

It is true. At least according to the staff of the Suns. I'm not sure why they would say that if it weren't.

Well the guys are going to a couple D-League games over the next few days, so it appears as though they are looking there rather than trading or signing a vet. At least that's the plan as of this moment.

Seems like the Suns are going to do some 10 day contracts while waiting to see what players become available via waivers / trades.

I don't have high hopes for anyone significant though...

Not surprised NY would be all over this. Diaw would look great on that team and they could do with some depth at the PF spot. Bell just gives them some depth espec when QRich has just gone into chucking (and missing) mode.

Really not sure what the Bobcats are thinking doing this tho. Any reason why they just didn't do a 3-way trade? Curry wouldn't pass the physical if it happened now? (doesn't he have a heart condition? I would be surprised if he would pass the physical anyway).

Just keep the likes of Bell, Diaw and especially Marion in the East and away from elite teams in the West and I'll be happy...

What in the world is Charlotte doing?

Rio Grande Valley @ Colorado tonight and Austin @ Albuquerque on the 18th. Speculate away. I don't see anyone on their rosters that would make me excited.

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that David Lee has to included in this deal. That's who they really want.

The Bobbies are off to a great franchise start! They kinda remind me of the Suns with all their delightful randomness. Why did my NC homeboys need to alienate the Hornets? At least the Bobbies exist though so I can go to the CHA-PHX game every year when I'm in NC over the winter.

ESPN trade machine says that Boris nor Raja can be traded in combination with another player?

This is not possible. The Knicks would have to wait 60 days before Diaw and Bell can be traded to them. It's some type of league rule, I could be wrong.

--- In a heartbeat. I'd love to see D-Lee here. But surely even Mike D would cringe at the thought of Leandro as his starting point guard ...

I imagine that this is speculation that starts with "60 days from now, blah blah blah"

Charlotte pushed for the JRich trade as soon as they could, therefor allowing for a few days before the trade deadline (Feb. 19) to be able to trade Diaw and Bell. So it's all legit. There is a 60 day waiting period on traded players.
