idk I still think marbury could be an all star...or at least a 19 and 8 type of guy.

Yeah Marbury still has game, that's for sure, he just needs minutes and the right situation I think
Francis...Im not sure, is he hurt or just lost "it" ?
How about MARION...

LOL Tastic, ofcourse he'd be good, but he'd bitch and whine more, even if we payed him 30 mil a year

Yeah dunno what happened to him. He used to be an All-Star and was a nice player to watch. All of a sudden he's sent to NY and his game kinda went down from there. I think the back court of Marbury and him kinda killed his game because he never really came back after.

--- why would Memphis give up a pick for a player they plan to buy out or dump? I can't see how this advances their cause any.

the only reason memphis made the trade was to get their pick back from houston from when they traded away d.greene... alls they did was trade a pick to get a better pick. and in order for them to get the better pick they had to take on steves low salary..then most likly buy him out... kinda like seattle w/ brent. denver w/ antonio. and now memphis w/ steve.

We can only dream...although these babies would certainly win in NBA Live but when you factor in 3 HUGE egos and 2 moderate ones this would be a nightmare on wheels.
I do think the Stevie "LastPersonYouWantToBeFranchise" situation is pretty drastic. He fell really fast. In theory Marbury could still ball but I think he's one mental breakdown too far from reaching that level again.

This is the first I have herd of this trade, but it is pretty sad that a player with so much talent fell so quickly. I wouldn't minded him coming here if it had happened in time for us to sign him. He should still have game, you just don't lose that much talent over night.
***Maybe Marion can come back now that he knows he is not going to get 20mil or whatever he was asking.

wishful thinking

Now that we have JRich, I think Marion makes a better fit. We needed at least one perimeter player who can score/ create his own shot, and now we have that, Shawn could go back to doing what he does best - the little things.
Having Shawn and Raja on the wings 'sucked' because neither could really create their own shot and consequently Nash was often hasselled to buggery.
Complete pipe dream though, but imagine - Marion comes home next season to replace whichever of Hill/ Barnes bolts, and steers the team to the title. Now THAT would be a fairytale ending

Wouldn't be surprised to see both go. I would love for Barnes to stay, but after this season he will prolly get more money elsewhere, deservedly so.
