I can tell that you loved him, really didn't need to writte that, obviously you have a man crush on him.

Seriously, he is better at some thinks, but saying that he is better player than Amar'e is just ridiculous.

To say Amare is better than Doris is a fact...or is it ? last I checked, this isn't a one on one game. The real question is ...Are the Suns better off with Amare and Jrich/Dudley, or with Boris and whatever personel Amare would have garnered.

Clearly Stat is the more dominant player, but if you look at the overall good to the Suns, I think it would completely logical to state if we had dealt Amare and kept Boris, we would have received much more in return. Perhaps enough to make the Suns an overall better team. The unknown factor is the questionable ability of our front office to glean maximum returns in trade land. It would be a very interesting ' fly on the wall ' scenario if/when Amare offers are coming in.

We will never know. Just like we will never know why such a thread is created.

Always good for a classic, quotable, remark Frank. That I do know.

I'm a huge Amare fan as you can see but I'm also a realist. Amare is not a great player.. Amare makes great plays. Will he ever transform to being a great player? Only if he gets bettter at his defense and those little intagibles.

The question on hand is if Amare is better than Boris? Amre has the tools that can make him a top 5 player in the league, his problem is his basketball IQ is not that high. Meanwhile Boris has the tools and the ability be a very good player. Boris does have the IQ but his aggressivenes has and will always be his downfall.

What seperate great players from good players.?They all have the talent to be great, but not all achieve their potential. Work ethics, IQ amd willing to do whatever for his team to win the champoinship is what makes great players. It sadess me to say that Amare lacks the that. Amare is about Amare and his shots. Thats why LeBron is starting to become my favorite player. It's not Lebrons basketball talents or his physical attribute nor his powerful dunks that makes him great. Its his willingness to do the little things that his team needs him to do.

Boris is willing to do those little things, he lacks the selfishness that Amare has. I was once told that Shawn Marion and STAT were competing to see who had the better vertical leap. While Amare beat Marion with a couple of inches, Boris came into the picture and blew them out of the water.

At this time Amare is a better player but Boris can catch up up to Amare if Amare do not dedicate himself to improve those small intangible that make players great.

GO SUNS!

He's playing so well cuz he's averaging 38 minutes with the Bobcats, anyone in the league can look good playing 38 minutes.

lol I'm infact a male... your freaking right about me having a man crush on boris... ray ray I couldn't have said it better my self. I agree w/ everything u just said. amare can be great. but I hate having a sg in a powerforwards body. amare used to be my "man crush" but has he really advanced his game over the year except for developing a good mid range shot. he can't rebound. he can't defend. and he's just about getting his! f* amare!

I was just looking back for your previous posts'....I didn't see the one you just mentioned, but I found the one that gave me that idea......"I'm 21....not a boy" I guess I took that in the most literal sense and not the, "I'm a grown azz man" sense...lol, oh well, I'm a jackass and now we move on lol

In terms of skillset and potential, Diaw's better. But Amare has the drive and power/hunger that Diaw hasn't had since the Dallas series. You put Amare's mindset/ferocity in Diaw's body and you got the best player in the NBA, hell even just the offensive mentality of Amare. Diaw would put up 22-9-6 nightly

So we would almost get LeBron..............

Yeah but look at the consistency he's showing in CHA...he'll put the numbers up, but never completely across the board.
There'll be 11rebounds and 5asst but also 3-14 shooting and 5 turnovers...or there's 25pts on 11-23fg but then 3rebs and 3asst...He's an enigma. Never the complete package, apart from that Dallas series when he was the French Larry Bird. He's had that game against MEM where it call came together.
Look at the fg% since he's been in CHA:
30%
48%
46%
85%
56%
21%
50%
30%
58%

Say what you want about Amare, at least when he plays 35mins you know you're getting 25 and 10 give or take, on 50%fg and 80%ft

It's funny...I actually thought the same thing as the OP the other day. Sure, Amare is a better one on one guy...but for the type of team the Suns have, I think Diaw is a better fit (at least while Shaq is around). Amare and Shaq both demanding the ball is a recipe for disaster whereas Boris can just kinda roam around and be a secondary catalyst to the offense besides Nash.

I don't know...I guess I'm just sick of seeing Amare blow up for two games then disappear for another two. How do you play 30+ min at 6'10 and have 1 rebound as Amare did against a SMALL Thunder team? That just doesn't make sense. Dude has to get 10 boards a night and score 20. He HAS to for the team to be successful. He just can't be trusted to do that quite yet...maybe someday.

I have thanked the good lord every day since Doris Meow was shipped out.

I don't care if he had more "potential" or was a "better all around player" or "better for this team."

He phoned it in every game and made some of the most boneheaded plays ive seen.

He has dramatically changed his game since he was traded, which makes me wonder why 9 million dollars alone wasnt enough incentive to play to his potential.
