Quality wins.

Post#1 » by DaDragicShow » Wed Jan 14, 2009 9:49 am

I know that we 11-10 against teams with a .500 record or better but we have alot of good quality wins this season.

Spurs
Nuggets
Jazz
Blazers(twice)
Mavs
Magic
Atlanta
Detroit

So this proves that we can play against anyone but just need to figure out how to beat the Lakers and Hornets.

We havent played Celtics or Cavs yet, therefore I didn't include them just yet.

We have beat those teams but barely on almost all of them. I think what we need to make us even better is find a good rotation from Porter, everytime we get a solid 10+ point lead he will put in Dudley/RoLo/Tragic, which isn't right. I hate to admit it but until RoLo learns how to stay out of foul trouble he doesn't deserve to play at all. Dudley has great potential so him playing is ok. And Tragic shouldn't be seeing ANY minutes right now, which he hasnt lately. If Porter can get us a solid rotation then we could be a top 3-4 team in the west instead of sitting at 6. The diesel has been doing his part with making his free throws as of late and Louie is doing very well too. Amare needs to play D and in return be rewarded with it on the offensive end. One more thing, SUNS NEED TO STOP GIVING TEAMS A CHANCE WHEN THEY HAVE 10+ POINT LEADS! WE CAN BEAT MOST TEAMS IN THE NBA BY 15+ EVERY GAME!

we´re still trying to find rhythm. learn how to use our weapons right. we´re not clickng on all cylinders but i think that t.porter can fix alot. we´re playing a 8 man rotation because the first eight has to click.

and the best thing is we´re winning. i don´t care if atlanta or any other team comes back. a good horse isn´t junping higher than it has to, sound good in germany und like bull in englisch...

--- I see your point but I can't agree; it's been a serious flaw of this team's for several years that no lead is safe for us and that results in starters having to go back in when they should be taking it easy on the bench. They end up playing minutes they shouldn't have to and it also cuts into the minutes we should be able to get the kids out there for some experience. And it's not just the the second unit is letting teams back in games - it's whenever nash is out. So once again, we need a reliable backup PG.

I do agree that the rotation is not what it ought to be.

Well to be fair Dragic has only played in 4 games in December and 1 in January. But he probably cost us some games or chance to be in the game earlier in the season.

Dragic is done for now, like you mentioned. He only plays in blowouts now.

RoLo doesn't play much either, unless it's a blowout or Shaq is sitting.

I like the rotation now

Nash
J-Rich
Hill
Amare
Shaq

Then bring Amundson in for Shaq and run Amare at centre, Barbosa comes in for Nash and Barnes comes in for Hill. That's how it should be.

Dudley and RoLo should get minutes depending on the situation and opponent. Put Dragic and Tucker in during blowouts. Hell I'd like to see Tucker in next time J-Rich or Barbosa are really struggling. I'd like to see what Tucker can do with a good lineup.

Another way to look at it is that we are over .500 on teams over .500, which is 100% acceptable.

so you think the glass is half empty, i see it half full.
we´re playing against good teams they´ll make runs at you. and especially if our weak bench is playing. i totally agree with youre opinnion on our back up pg situation. we need to add up something in here. but at the other hand, we ain´t got no quality big coming of the bench. lou plays good in spurts, but he can´t be our answer. but we´re closing out games right now. and the production from lb is good, think he can keep up the work for the season, barnes has to improve his shot and we´re looking fine.
