Okay.. Ive had it with Amare

Post#1 » by statisback » Tue Jan 20, 2009 5:19 am

Seriously, Ive been a huge fan of his but he has really pissed me off with his lack of effort in rebounding, defense, and even offensively (which was his only strength). Whats the matter with this guy? To me he just doenst have any desire to play with the Suns anymore. If thats the case then trade him. His pathetic defense and pathetic rebounding day in and day out is inexcusable. Im sure there would be takers for him.

I think he is out of it. I think this whole system is making him worst. He does not get the ball where he is affective anymore like he used to. Shaq is doing well, but how they feed him is hurting his game. Its in his head and he is still not mature enought to get over it and play hard and evolve his game. He was rebounding well and then went to crap. His avg is one less then KGs now to put it in perspective.

If you trade amare, then you have to bring in the right peices to make this team better.

I'd definately do that trade. I doubt the Hawks would though.

Williams is lame and we have two solid SFs already.

JSmith + Speedy Claxton + 2010 1st for Amare

That trade doesn't make us better.

when trading "superstars", you'd be lucky to get 50c in the dollar and you definitely do not expect to get better

I don't think Amare is a superstar. He has to commit to play defense first. He is a great scorer and a decent rebounder, but that's about it.

We don't need another supposed "star" in return for Amare; we need to trade him for two good pieces that can fill roles and address team needs.

I'd hold out for Smith+Williams for Amare, and I don't want to give up Tucker, b/c we're going to need him after Barnes leaves and Hill retires.
