I **** hate this team...... their inconsistency, they are lazy, and im not even going to start with amare... they get humiliated in Boston and how do they come back?? By loosing to the freaking knicks!!!! Losses to Minny, Indiana, Chicago and other sub par teams its just embarrasing..... this team inst crap and they are not winning anything with this current team....

Im so tired of this underachievers........ on paper this team should be up there with the best of the best.. but they got 0 heart, all they do is complaint about coaching, touches, etc but they dont do crap to change their situation.....

I'm still sticking with this team but I havent planned my suicide yet, maybe if we trade amare and get rid of porter I wont have to end my life.

Hey, I like never post on here, but i've read for awhile.
I'm still sticking with this team. We have obviously had some terrible losses like tonight and Boston, but I see this team gradually improving through the year.
We've all seen flashes of what this team can do, like the Dallas blowout, and lets not forgot we beat Orlando, we were close against the Lakers without J-Rich and Shaq, but then we come out with really bad spurts. Over the season I think we will start to get it, how to get everyone contributing and I think we will see more heart in this team. Although Amare is struggling at the moment, at some point he will wake up and start playing, he is a very proud dude, same with Shaq, we then have a great pg and shooters allover the court.
I compare this team to the Miami of 06, who by nomeans dominated the regular season, even struggled at times, but started rolling with shaq and Dwade. I firmly believe that Amare will breakout later in the year and start leading this team, like he did last year, I just feel he's too proud of a player not to. Shaq will continue what he's doing. The defence/energy will improve as the team starts to realise that the window is closing.
We are a good rebounding team, except Amare, who again I believe will step up in this category to at least an average rebounder, which we have all seen him do in spurts.
I still can see this team winning a championship.

Under D'Antoni:

Ferrari driven by experienced driver (D'Antoni) with almost flawless execution. (**** Horry and hip check)

Under Porter:

Muscle car with big engine, can only go fast in a straight line, has no cornering ability and has a crappy driver (Porter)

Thats the thing.... we all know what this team is "capable" of doing... but i dont know about you all, but i get pumped up for the laker games, boston games, etc.... specially the ones on national tv, and we ALWAYS get humiliated on those or at least a heart break loss like the one on xmas vs san antonio... botom line.. this team always dissapoint their fans.... i can deal with the losses to good teams on hard fought games.. but the losses to minny when every other team on the conference lost, a great chance to close the gap on SA , NO etc.. and we loose to the freaking twolves.... and i saw the game, and it was a total lack of effort loss, then we get humiliated by Boston, and you think.. ok they are embarrased, they got a day off and they play the freaking knicks.. they will blow themout of the garden... but NO, these are the Suns, they loose to this clowns...

It gets old... they got no balls and its hard to go on "potential" with this dudes...... they got no heart, and heart is something that you either have or you dont....

I'm still a fan. Just not a happy one. I'm sure the players feel the same. They talked about it on the post-game show. The team is not responding to Terry Porter; not on defense, offense, post-play, box out, rebounding. Yes the players isn't giving enough effort but it's hard to give effort and play for a coach who doesn't know his sh*t!! I'm not making excuses for guys like Amare, players should play hard, but if they aren't buying in Porter's coaching, well, it's hard to give effort every night. Everyone looks unhappy. That comes from the coach and how he decides to handle things. He has no direction, no clue how this team should play or what their identity is. Who's your go to guy? Shaq? Amare? Nash? What's our go to play? Do we have any? Do we have a game plan for each game?

And the guy lack emotions on the sideline. Does he even care about winning games? I vividly remember MikeD face turning bright red as he would yell at the team for sucking during timeouts. For Porter, all I saw from him is confusion. I wonder what's that drawboard of his for.

That's why I thought Paul Silas would have been better as he is older and more likely to command the players respect, right now does anyone on the team respect Porter?

Porter has lost the team. Time to get a new coach in before the season is completely lost.

But I dont miss Coach D. The Suns were never truly championship ready under Mikey. Of course players like him with his soft practices and his lack of blame. "We know we're the best team but we just cant prove it cause of circumstances." They'd still be bounced by better coached and disciplined teams like the Spurs, Lakers and Hornets.


And we would still have Bell and Diaw and a guy like Lou would get no run.

Does the NBA allow player/coaches? Why don't we just fire Porter and not hire another coach and just let Nash coach the team? Hell let Nash, Shaq, and Hill coach the team?

CBA doesn't allow it sadly

Even if it did, it'd be tough for a player actively involved in the roto to be paying attention to everyone's game etc.

What does everyone honestly think about Porter - will he get fired, and if so how much more will it take? I feel like based on our fine overall record he has to show more inability to win close games, or games against contenders before he could legitimately be let go.

He's not going to be fired this season, period. Kerr brought him in to be a yes man, and then at the end of the year Porter will be the scapegoat for all of Kerr's failures.

Hey if Jordan can do it in Space Jam then Nash, Hill, and Shaq can do it in real life haha.

Defense is on the players more than the coach. Lazy defenders will always be lazy, unless you have a guy like KG that will get on their backs. Regardless, this team has enough talent to where they should be able to win on skill alone. Doc Rivers is god aweful, but their big 3 lead their team. Have to give credit to their assistant coach though.
